This hotel is very dated and not as described on your website. IE no room service, no minibar. The shower didn’t work.

Convenient location for a friend's birthday, however, on allocation of our room, we discovered an issue with the air con, after reporting this to staff, i was informed there was no fault and someone would be along immediately to assist. 30 minutes later I returned to reception to be informed, there was a fault with the air con, would we like to move?? Thanks for coming to let us know, how long would it have taken if i hadnt have chased??? The second room was rather smaller, the shower was a complete waste of time, 3 dribbles a minute, and ive never slept in a more uncomfortable bed in my life!!! Not what you expect from a hotel branded as "by Hilton"!! Not impressed or happy at all. Terrible nights sleep. Will not be returning!

Hotel was being referbed, reception was slow and did not give us, as booked, a family room. They did not know that we had dogs to stay eventhough we mentioned this whilst booking. Bar prices were quiet high. Overall though, nice double room and helpful staff, if a bit slow.

Highly recommended

Pros: Very posh, clean, friendly staff, beautiful rooms and a fab breakfast.
A beautiful hotel. I stayed with my husband and 2 other family members on a Saturday evening visiting relatives near by. I would definitely stay here again.

Mediocre

We got this hotel on a last minute deal, so cost about the same as a Premier Inn/Travelodge, so we thought that we were in for a treat and test out if in future it is worth paying the extra. Unfortunately we weren't impressed, the room and facilities mirrored that of the budget hotels so we won't be returning.

Perfectly good hotel. Great value

Good service. rooms clean and tidy. Good restaurant, bar and attached pub. Only drawback is getting to the pub by crossing a single width bridge with no pavement

One night break

Lovely hotel in a quaint location. Unfortunately it poured with rain so we could not go out walking like we planned. The hotel reception was clean and spacious. The receptionist Elina was very helpful and pleasant. We had a crowne room on the fourth floor again clean and spacious. We ate in the restaurant, having the set menu for two the food was delicious. We had breakfast the next day for £10 there was a good selection. Simon the restaurant manager was very helpful. I would definitely return to this hotel.

Lovely hotel

Lovely clean hotel I like the fact you do not need to swipe through to get up to the floors. Also has a lovely setting.

business trip

staff were really helpful and friendly, room was comfortable, and bars meals were tasty. I did not eat in the restaurant so can not comment on that side of things.
