The hotel wasn't clean had to ask the receptionist to clean it again and also found dog hair on the bed

Value for money

Two motorcyclist stopped one night on the way back home from Austria to mid wales. The hotel looks a bit tired on the inside but was clean and acceptable and value for money

Nice stay

Nice comfortable room, although we were given a family room, but feel it would’ve been a little small as a family room. The room was clean. The hotel is nice and central to local attractions and buses. Stayed a few times already and would stay again. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Our stay at this property was good . The room was good with all the basic amenities and a wonderful sea front view . The only thing was the bed felt a bit to small for two people. I am hopeful the hotel authorities will look into it. Looking forward to coming back again 😇

The best is the location, however that's it! The staff are rude and blaming visitors for keeping access cards near phones, while it isn't true! Every day we had to go to reception to get cards changed as it didn't work. Funnily this happened after checkout times each day,though we had 10 days stay. Also the room had only one plug and when asked for extensions they asked me to buy it. I had to charge from coffee shops as we did not have more than one plug in the room. They are far from knowing what customer service means as no apology whatsoever. No name badge either so hard to even complain. Hotel full of dogs who constantly barking so you can forget the good night sleep. Water not going down from bath, window is so steamed up that can't even see outside. I would never book a hotel in Grand Burstin, needs serious improvement!

Very poor experience

Was not good. From check in to checkout we was surprised by conditions and hidden costs. Internet is paid. In the room you need to pay for every single device. Pool is extra pay. Beer on bar is flat . Cleaning only if requested 24h prior. Room was very noisy and wake up 4am. Only liked the view to the sea.

Not great!

Very tired hotel. Bed was very uncomfortable. Our room was at the back and could hear an annoying noise all night plus emptying of the glass skips very early in the morning. The cold water tap couldn't be turned off so ran all night. Shower temperature was difficult to maintain.

Burstin with Pride!

It was great for the price. Sash windows were dirty and would not open properly. The bed was good and bathroom excellent. Tea making facilities were welcome. Nice atmosphere in the bars and music room.

Well located with great views. Very basic overall, but clean and convenient. The parking can be quite tricky on summer weekends, and we got parked in, but the duty manager was REALLY helpful in sorting out the problem. Would use again.

Disappointed - wouldn't stay again

Slapped with an additional £5 per night parking charge which I was not expecting. The bays also appear to be quite narrow. Hotel corridors stank of cigarette smoke

Hidden gem

We were pleasantly surprised by this lovely hotel.roim was great with a balcony and sea views,staff were very friendly and good was great too. The evening entertainment was good as was bingo. The hotel faces the harbour with spectacular views,and in general everyone was friendly. We signed up before we left to brittania hotels and booked another stay with some great deals.

Nonstop noise all night. Constant banging of doors. Meant to be a work booking so in a quiet area of the hotel, was the opposite. Room above and next door were up till 4am. Worst nughts sleep I've had at any hotel for a long time.

Don't pick a place by parking abilety.

The hotel was rather overused and the smell of damp and old was rather potent . The reception staff was helpfull but you could see the consistent flow of guests was stressfull for them. The room was first floor above the entertainment area and the bright outside hotel lights even with closed curtain was bright as a day. Clean linnen and towels , didnt have the heart to check the matress. It was just 1 night to get some sleep. The beach was a stark eye opener to modern day Uk. I must be honest i would never go back for a stay in Folkestone , neither the hotel. Sad it once was a nice spot in the Uk. Parking was great , i didnt take pictures. It is what it is no need to rub it in
