Beautiful Victorian style property with big rooms. Staff are super friendly and supportive. Touristy places are 5 mins drive away with plenty of food options, boating and view. Sleep was comfortable but the place will need to install air conditioning for 5 stars. Breakfast buffet was decent.

Our stay at this hotel was very enjoyable the food and service was excellent what let it down for us was the room cleaning service same bathroom towels for 3 days no bed made up and no replenish ment of tea coffee and milk in fact i had to walk to the main hotel to ask for milk in pouring rain to get some. So not very happy with the room service at all as we understand that they came every day to service rooms

Downstairs room extremely noisy from upstairs clientele. Burger for dinner was nice. Fish bland, sausages overcooked and dry. Breakfast good.

The staff were friendly polite and very helpful, the hotel grounds were lovely and kept to a high standard, the dog day pen again was lovely although the gate floor catch was broken making the top catch difficult to open/close. We had a top floor room, where the shower runs by water pump if the temperature is above 25 the shower cuts out, we had to run it on cold until it built up enough pressure to turn temperature up, this took around 17 mins. But the staff were amazing, hotel was lovely and we had a great stay, thank you

Not so comfortable

Great location and very dog friendly. There’s even an enclosed area for dogs to run around. Staff are friendly and helpful. However the stay was not very comfortable, the reins were stifling hot, the fan did not work well and the toilet made gurgling noises (old plumbing). The food wasn’t great either. All in all, average hotel with some improvements needed.

Excellent location and beautiful grounds. Breakfast layout and offering was great. We were just very disappointed with the room. Not only were we put on the top floor with a toddler, the room stank of cigarette smoke. We had to sleep with the window open all night.
