This hotel was excellent for the dogs especially the enclosed dog run. Nice pool. Freindly staff. Good breakfast. Central location. Easy walk to windermere.

We enjoyed our stay and found the facilities to be excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful, the parking was safe and convenient, and the property was well-kept. The peaceful and quiet location was a real plus.

A disappointing 3 night stay.

We had a room in 'the cottage'. Had to turn the radiators off on arrival as the heat was unbearable, although two of the windows were open. We had to leave the windows open when we were out to try and coool the room, which wasn't good for security as it was ground floor with an open copse of trees outside. One of the window latches was snapped off and left lying on the window sill. The sofa in the room was quite heavily stained and dirty. We requested the cleaners not to clean our room after the first night of our stay as they arrived mid afternoon. When the cleaners left the room after the second night of our stay, only a bin liner had been changed in the mini kitchen bin. There were still coffee stains on the worktop where we had left the spoon as we didn't have a cloth to clean the worktop. The room had not been vacuumed as there were still signs of leaves in both the room and the foyer between ours and the adjoining room. The shower was very powerful and could not be adjusted to warm without the water pressure increasing. Once running, the floor drain couldn't not cope with the volume of water and the bathroom flooded. We had to use the floor mat as a dam to stop the water running under the door. After the cleaners left, the floor mat was still where it had been left, the bathroom bin had not been emptied and there was no evidence that bathroom had been cleaned. Breakfast was OK but a choice of egg other than the anaemic and possibly powdered egg would have been good.

We spent one night here with our dog. Room 17 was large clean and spacious with a nice roof veranda. Staff were approachable and friendly. We would consider staying here again for a longer period.

Staff seem really lovely, property could do with some decorating and refreshing but the public and pool areas were all nice. Have some major concerns about the safety of the property, don't think that 30 rooms (andwe were on the 3rd floor) should be using the same single set of stairs in the event of a fire, and I would question whether the fire doors would actually stop any smoke. Good location for walking into Windemere.

We had a nice 4 nights stay at Windermere manor hotel. Staffs are so lovely and helpful. Very nice and specious room.

three day break

room was very warm, it must be above the kitchen, we had a large fan in the room and it was on constantly when we were in.The steak I got was very tough and was more a rump than sirloin. Apart from that the stay was very pleasant. I did spill some tea on the bed and the staff were very pleasant about it and changed the bedding right away 'I will go back again as the setting and staff were superb.

There are two entrances to this hotel confusing reception polite friendly did not realise the rooms are a short drive or in my case a wheelchair up a steep path to the main hotel room is a weird layout first there seems to be what looks like a double Wardrobe in opening there’s a full size sink unit fridge the only good thing was the coffee machine a dressings table right in the way to the wet room making it very hard to access with a wheelchair good handrail on toilet but no seat in the wet room or the lack off safe hand rails no we’re to sit and eat in the main room the sofa-bed could do with a good clean no small tables for places to rest drink very over priced food in hotel averaged Same as pub prices I would not recommend this room or part off hotel for wheelchair users on good side staff helpful plot friendly I used the swimming pools had a nice hour swim

Beautiful Victorian style property with big rooms. Staff are super friendly and supportive. Touristy places are 5 mins drive away with plenty of food options, boating and view. Sleep was comfortable but the place will need to install air conditioning for 5 stars. Breakfast buffet was decent.
