The pro's: Location is great, the girls who run the bar/front desk/breakfasts are amazing, they must be exhausted because they clearly work extremely hard, but they always have big smiles and a warm welcome, and also the bed itself was clean and comfy. The breakfast was also really good.
The con's: The rooms are just a bit overly grim!! Our toilet seat was clinging on for dear life, milk bottle lids were helping to hold up the shower curtain, there was a bare wire coming out behind the bathroom radiator, wall paper was hanging off the wall, taps, showerhead, bath handles etc were all moldy, dust was gathered on the unevenly painted walls etc, paint was puffed up where damp presumably was making it bubble - basically it was all very run down, and not at all worth the cost.

Quaint hotel in heart of Tewkesbury. Despite being next to Abbey we were not disturbed by the bells. Breakfast excellent.
