Nothing not to like!

Our two night stay at the hotel was excellent. The staff, especially Steph on reception went over and above to make sure we had everything we wanted. Everyone we encountered was polite, helpful and a credit to the hotel. Breakfast was superb and kept very well stocked, the bar food was also great. Bedroom clean, had everything we needed and comfortable. We will be back

Carpet was not hoovered prior to our arrival. We stood on small items that previous patrons had dropped. Heating wasn't working in the room, it was very cold. Took over an hour for them to locate a heater for the room; we had to visit reception 3 times to resolve this. There was only 1 robe provided in the room for the spa and by this point, I just did not want another trip to reception to ask for anything more. Restaurant seating by the window for evening meals and that was also very cold. My chicken burger was pink but they seemed short staffed so I didn’t bother saying anything. Vegetable soup and Fish & Chips were nice. Breakfast staff were lovely and this food was much better. Good choices. In general, the hotel comes across as trying to look high end but isn't actually maintaining the property well enough. In summary. Overpriced. Breakfast great. Hotel room not the cleanest. Service too slow.

Very comfortable bed but it was hard to sit up as the lit headboard creaked a lot and didn’t feel v sturdy. Photos show a coffee machine but that’s only in upgraded rooms. Room was v spacious. Excellent shower Very tasty breakfast with a good selection of cooked and continental options to choose from

Really impressed with this hotel. Staff, especially Alex at the bar was so friendly & helpful. We had the king room & loved it. The bed was so comfy, didn’t wake up until 10am. We will definitely return.

Lovely hotel, they upgraded my room and it was really clean and comfy - no issues there. However they charged me for parking but there were no spaces. And the entry from the car park with luggage is a bit of a pain. They also didn't actually check me in when I checked in, which caused issues when I got back that evening. All sorted out and they gave me a free drink, but it was still not the smoothest experience

Really regretted booking this hotel. I travel weekly for business and chose this one for its 24 hour check in because I knew that I would be arriving late and I paid extra for free cancellation. I arrived at 11pm after a very long drive and checked in to my room to find that there was no hot water in the bathroom. On reporting this to Reception, there had apparently been issues with the hot water all day, they had not mentioned this to me while I was checking in, and my only option for a warm shower was the pool showers which were now closed for the night. I do feel like this is a significant issue, and had I been informed of this, I would have cancelled my booking and gone to the hotel across the carpark instead. The next morning, the hot water was still not fixed, and I suspect the issue had been significant and going on for a while. While I appreciate that things do sometimes malfunction, the lack of transparency or communication concerning this issue before or after I arrived was very misleading, and having spent £142 for a 8 hour stay in a hotel where my journey times meant that I had no options for anything other than a cold shower was ridiculous. Not even a refund of any kind on the price paid!
