Stay spoiled by poor service

Lift not working to any floor. My wife is disabled and struggled with stairs. No dinner available on first night due to a wedding booking. Hard to find staff to help. Overall very dissatisfied

The overall stay was pleasant. The staff were friendly and the area is beautiful. Unfortunately the hotel itself could do with some work. For example, the paintwork.on the hotel is peeling off, our television didnt work in the room and they had no one at 8pm to fix it. Also the breakfast is not included and overcharged at £15 a head, including for my kids who only ate cereal.

The hotel had a beautiful, stunning sea view . The garden was kept tidy with pretty flowers and lovely sunbeds to relax in. The hotel was clean, with friendly staff who was very helpful. It was easy to get onto the beach and into Swange town. Lots to see and do.

The grand swanage

Lifts out of order , changed rooms as not full sea view, 1st night rowdy people next door at 2 am but was dealt with by staff, tight for parking , and lots of steps to take you on to the beach , hotel staff very friendly, and clean

The wonderful Grand

The Grand in Swanage is just wonderful. The staff are amazing and very friendly. Delicious food, very clean and comfortable rooms. Amazing views across Swanage. I can’t wait to come back!

This is a beautiful hotel, the views are stunning. The room was excellent, modern and perfectly clean. The food is fantastic and staff were absolutely 5 star. I booked a massage while I was there and it was wonderful, so my recommendation is to stay here if you get a chance! Will definitely stay again.

it was great - the hotel garden and short trip down to the beach was brilliant parking was a bit tricky (the car park is quite small) but there are usually places in nearby roads

Very dated hotel

The beds were uncomfortable, carpets were stained and very old, the whole place is very dated, the spa is not a spa. The pool is very small. We got a room at the back, constant noise from the fans or whatever was making that noise. Very expressive for the experience, we won’t be returning.

Excellent friendly service

Room was quite small, but beautifully located on second floor with huge comfortable bed and lovely view of the beach. Excellent service by all staff we encountered. Did not try food, but drinks and reception staff efficient and very helpful. Would return, hopefully ASAP.
