Rubbish breakfast

Th normal Holiday inn breakfast is great but not today , in there defence it was very busy , but there was. I bacon , sausage , baked beans, bread, croissants , Hash brown , as soon as they replaced an item , it was gone in seconds , have never seen such a poor effort at breakfast , I managed some cereal And beans on toast , had to wait 30 Mins to get some beans and bread , not Al what I come to expect form Holiday inn

Bad Day at The Express

Disappointing at check in then breakfast. Room great clean and comfortable. Great location. Second time breakfast has raised difficulties ie shortage of items customers having to wait. Check in was unfortunate with number of mistakes being made. Hope issues are solved for my next visit planned just after festjve period

Loved the hotel for our recent stay. Breakfast was good and staff was attentive. Rooms were ok but we were in L floor which is not the best floor. It is best to the train station and shopping area.

It wasn’t a bad stay upon entering the lift it was smelling of cigarettes. The carpets in the room are due for changing but overrall , it was a good stay, staffs were ever smiling and friendly.

Fine except for the lifts

Everything was fine till both lifts broke down. It was a strain at my age climbing 3 floors of stairs. Otherwise no complaints

Below usual level

Always praise this hotel but on this occasion i felt let down. We were put on lower ground floor for dome reason and it was noisy most of the night. Got up went for breakfast and it was chaos, no orange juice had to wait for bacon to be brought out. Went back to room but found people walking around corridor with plates of breakfast, it was getting dropped on corridor carpet. I stay here regularly and always give 5* ive booked again for december and january so i will give it a go see if it improves ....still friendly staff and great location so perhaps a one off lowering if standards
