Artists Harbour, St Ives

Artists Harbour is a luxury family holiday home located just moments from St Ives harbour front. It offers accommodation over 4 floors with the living room and top bedroom enjoying wonderful sea views. It is equally welcoming to couples wanting something a little special for a break away. It sleeps 6 and has 3 bedrooms; a top floor super king size bedroom with en-suite shower room, the ground floor super king size (in width only) bedroom that can also be split into two 3ft single beds which is on the same floor as the bathroom with bath, shower over and WC. There is also a bunk bedroom with its own ensuite loo with wash basin on the second floor.

Granite steps lead up from the street to the front door which leads you into the kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is well-equipped for home cooking with a dining table to seat 6. It is encourages you to arrive, relax and enjoy that sense that your holiday has only just begun with the sea just moments from your front door! The living area is on the second floor and has wonderful views across the harbour. It is decorated in a coastal style inviting the colours in from outside as well as celebrating the character and age of the house. There is a back door that leads from the beach so sandy bodies can be washed off to leave the beach outdoors and not indoors!

The private parking space for Artists Harbour is at St Ives Rugby Club with a very generous sized parking space. Parking in St Ives can be a real headache during busier weeks in the town, namely between Easter and October, with available spaces in the town car parks being very rare during these times. So, even though the parking space for Artists Harbour is a 15 minute walk away, it is a guaranteed space where you can come and go freely plus, during the busy periods, there is a shuttle bus which costs £1.50 per trip that picks up and drops off very close to Artists Harbour.

The nearest beach to Artists Harbour is the harbour beach which has crystal clear waters and you can swim and paddle board carefully here. Frequent boat trips leave the harbour also so you can sight-see around Seal Island or go fishing easily. Porthmeor beach is just a few minutes’ walk and is well known for its surf and great eatery! Porthminster beach is a 5 minute walk away where the sea is mainly calm and protected by the headland so safe for smaller children. There is also a beach café on Porthminster beach offering delicious refreshments.

2 x well-behaved dogs are accepted. The pet fee is £8 per dog per night. (terms and conditions apply).

** Polite Notice UPDATED 20/11/2024 - Please note there is a neighbouring property to Artist's Harbour with scaffolding that is partially visible from the living room and bedroom. There is also the potential for building work and noise from this property as they construct its roof. The work will continue throughout 2024 and possibly into the early months of 2025. From 02/01/25 there will also be major gas works updates taking place in St Ives by Wales & West utilities. They will be working on Victoria Road and Victoria Place throughout this time and there will be road closures on Back Road East, Back Road West, Fish Street and St Peter's Street. Ok and matched description
We have made a formal complaint with photos about the cleanliness. Covid compliance cannot have been adhered to as apart from a thick layer of dust on kitchen appliances we found a pile of toenails on the lounge table !!!!!! We await your feedback on this . An apology has been forthcoming from housekeeping but we do not feel in this time if Covid that this is enough !!!! Your advert about being Covid compliant cannot be true in this instance .

Wonderful holiday
Excellent location virtually right on the harbour front ! Views from bedroom and lounge amazing ! Welcome pack was such a lovely thought and very much appreciated, bread was amazing !! Just a few minor issues for us which I wish I had probably understood little bit more , mum and dad found stairs in house quite challenging , particularly to lower bedroom , but overall did not spoil our stay ! Also parking to unload the car on the Saturday was hectic , needed to be done tho as booked car park is a good 15 -20 minute walk away up a hill , we should have parked in local car park and waited for crowd and traffic to lessen . However despite these minor issues we had a fabulous time and didn’t want to leave !
