Lovely hosts but noisy room above where beer was delivered very early in the morning! Couldn’t understand why we wern’t in a quieter room on the other side of the pub as there were empty rooms? Very kind chef made us a packed breakfast thank you.

Family break away

Everything about our stay was perfect. We had a cot ready when we arrived for our little one. The room was warm and spacious. We ate dinner the night before and the steaks were wonderful. The staff are all so friendly and can't do enough to help. We had a delicious breakfast before we left too!

Nice place but a bit tired

This is still a nice place to stay, however it's starting to look a little bit tired. The carpets could do with a really good clean and the window in our bedroom didn't shut properly which would have been okay in summer but it was very cold. Breakfast was very good and the bar is comfortable.

The Railway

Great location. Lovely hotel. Greeted and served by warm and friendly staff. Fantastic food and atmosphere. Recommend the steak night, it’s popular so advise booking in advance. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We’ll be back.

Clean, spacious and nicely decorated room. The Railway is excellent if you are using public transport as it is 10 minutes from the train station and 5 minutes to the bus station and town. The breakfast was very good and freshly cooked to order

This was an older property above a kitchen and attached restaurant. The property was nice but there were some smells from the kitchen that permeated the room. The food was excellent.

Check in was quick & very professional. The carpet leading to the rooms and in the rooms is very tired and dirty. The room was a really good size with a beautiful clean bed. Bathroom is also a good size. Breakfast was cooked to order. Yoghurt & fruit would be a good choice too.

Lovely room. Clean and lovely tea here on Saturday evening when we arrived and great breakfast. Compliments to the Chef for the lovely food we ate.

Having stayed here several times, we knew what to expect and were not disappointed The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The breakfast option was good and was included in the price, which is not always the case. Having travelled to Skipton via public transport, the Railway is convenient for all modes of transport, so parking for us was not an issue. Highly recommended.
