The Space:
The apartment boasts a spacious open plan living and dining area where you can relax with your loved ones. Featuring a comfy leather sofa and large flat screen TV, it’s the perfect spot to unwind during your stay.
Head to the kitchen and you’ll find a stylish space which is fully equipped with modern appliances. Shaker in style, the traditional kitchen works beautifully with the exposed brickwork and beams.
Othala @ The Merchants Quarters has two bedrooms including a double and a twin. Both rooms have premium bed linens and plush bedding to ensure you have the best sleep possible. The family bathroom boasts a large walk in shower, WC, vanity unit and basin.
When staying at The Merchants Quarters, you’ll have access to a lovely roof terrace with outdoor seating. The perfect place to relax, you can retreat here and enjoy the stunning views.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full apartment. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.

The Merchants Quarters is home to three separate apartments with a maximum capacity of 12. If you are looking for a stay for a large group, there are often opportunities to rent all three apartments together. Please send us an email with your preferred dates for availability and prices.
The Neighborhood:
There are a number of beaches for you to choose from in Scarborough. The popular South Bay is a sun trap and close to the hustle and bustle of the town centre. North Bay has been accredited with Blue Flag status meaning it’s one of the best beaches in Europe!
Ideal for all weathers, there are lots of indoor attractions in Scarborough for the whole family. Head to Sea Life Sanctuary to see seals, penguins, sharks, turtles and more, or Scarborough Castle to explore its 3000 year history. If it’s outdoor fun you’re looking for, The Open Air Theatre is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike, here you can see amazing bands, singers and comedians. The Sky Trail Adventure and Peasholm Park is perfect for all ages.
We highly recommend booking a seat at the famous Stephen Joseph Theatre to experience some first-class drama, music, films and comedy or make a splash at the Alpamare water park with outdoor pools, a wave machine and exhilarating state-of-the-art water rides.
Getting Around:
Scarborough is within a 1 hours’ drive time of Whitby, Staithes, Whitby, Robin Hood’s Bay and Filey.
Scarborough Train Station is a short 10 minute walk away and has routes to Filey, Bridlington, Liverpool and Sheffield.
There are plenty of bus routes throughout Scarborough. Hop on the 12 route and you can visit neighbouring seaside spots of Filey and Bridlington. The X93 travels through to Middlesbrough with drop offs in Robin Hood’s Bay and Whitby.
