Bathroom was awful. No room to hang towels, floor covering looked like tar, badly in need of modernisation. Poor standard. Bedroom no chairs, no BBC coverage on TV, beds comfortable, room clean, tea and milk not readily available. Dining areas very clean. Staff we met were always friendly and polite. We had wonderful steak meal on Friday night.

2 nights away with my husband

Really enjoyed our couple of nights away. Needed a break as other holidays previously booked have been cancelled due to COVID 19. Emma the hostess was very attentive and offered more towels, tea and coffee, etc if needed. Very knowledgeable about things to do in the town giving us different suggestions too. Food in the restaurant was excellent and great service by all staff. Hence the reason we ate there both nights.

A warm cosy atmosphere. Food brilliant with Restaurant for people who like fine dining. Beer kept well. In a great position for the NYMR steam railway.
