Would Stay Again

Stayed here for one night and the room was exactly what was required. Single bed was relatively comfortable and all the required amenities were either already in the room or available upon request. Really enjoyed the pool and sauna/steam room facilities, especially considering the value of the room. The hotel is in a very convenient location just a short walk away from the high street and train station.

Fabulous!!!

We had a really good stay. Very clean, the staff were super friendly and helpful, food good and the facilities (even though we didn't get time to use them) were great. Parking was a bonus. The location and the view from dining room and event room were fabulous. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Disappointed

We did not like the small censor lift as found very daunting as find it hard to see how six people could fit in it and not miss touching the censor that immediately stopped the lift mid floor. We had to push the emergency alarm to get help as very scary. Also disappointed we were put on the third floor when explained I was disabled as IF there had been a fire emergency there would have been no way I could have escaped down the external Fire escape stairway. This led to my anxiety preventing me from getting to sleep. We also had to escape to our room with our bar meal precariously on a tray because of the excessive noise in the bar area created by what looked like a 1920’s evening. It was so noisy I started to feel faint. The TV in the room did not work saying there was no aerial connection and the toilet did not flush properly. Staff were very friendly though and helpful, but sadly we have decided we better not stay again as we had hoped to.

Such a lovely space, the views across the bay at breakfast are wonderful. The staff are really helpful and courtious which made the stay that little bit more special. Had a stunning afternoon tea, with tasty sandwiches , fantastic cakes and scones Overlooking the lawns and ocean.

The hotel was a bit dated. Needs a bit of updating. But the service was good. The staff were nice and friendly. Breakfast was also good. The double bed was a bit small.

Although the outside looks a bit dated the rooms have been recently refurbished and are very nice , the food was excellent and very good service , the jacuzzi was out of action for our stay but the pool and steam room were really good

Hotel with a view

Lovely old building like a castle views in morning fantastic rooms little dated but very big and clean staff friendly for cost off hotel fantastic and yes free parking breakfast Lovely would stay again

Not a great choice on the evening menu, I had the vegetable lasagne and it was mainly white sauce and tomato sauce, no noticeable vegetables! Very disappointed!

Staying at the Redcliffe Hotel Paignton is an enjoyable experience with professional, friendly and helpful staff. Situated right on the sea front the gardens & hotel overlooks the wonderful Torbay. No roads between the Hotel and the sea is brilliant and there is plenty of free parking on site. Close to Paignton town centre means it is only a short walk to the shops & the excellent Vue cinema complex. Whilst the Hotel is of age it still offers a very comfortable environment and we believe that major renovations are in the pipeline which hopefully won’t take away from its wonderful charm. Having stayed B&B the choice of food is good on the buffet table and the cooked breakfast is excellent & cooked to order which means that the eggs etc are fresh.
