Poor standards! Not for the ladies! Room door lock sticks when locking/unlocking. Wallpaper lazily applied so patterns don’t match up. Walls so thin you can hear other guests' conversations and movements etc, disturbed late at night and early in the morning! Pillows were hard, covered in WORN OUT, mismatching pillowcases, so worn you can see your hand through them! Duvet was thin and worn out. WHB in the room has a deep, mouldy crack! Hand wash bottles (fruit chew!) were near empty leftovers in the room and bathroom. Poor thermostat control on the radiator/in the building, room was very cold the 1st night, then roasting hot the 2nd night! Bath towel was dull green, small/shrunken, rough and had paint marks. Only 1 shared bathroom (between up to 6 rooms!) on the 1st floor which includes the toilet, a HUGE inconvenience when it was occupied! Toilet cistern was slow needing 2 flushes, esp. when men left their waste behind!! Stained towel queried and was told they are clean and wouldn't be replaced. Asked for softer pillows and was told they are all the same, no alternative. Manager/owner commented about other guests damaging things, being unable to replace them, and recently introduced charges, making new guests pay the price! I slept poorly, waking up with stiff, neck and back pain! And to round it off a NASTY blackhead on my cheek! SHODDY AND APPALLING. Grateful I never had their breakfast!
