Made very welcome. Room comfortable for a short stay. Its an old building so steepish stairs. Able to charge my car on site Food excellent Location good for Cathedral, Castle etc

Overnight stay

We have stayed at the Duke william several times, the food is fabulous, the staff are friendly, we love the location, the reason we haven't given it 5stars is that the toilet seat in the bathroom was loose and quite dangerous this was not something that had just happened, we were amazed that the cleaner didn't flag this whilst she cleaned the room it could have resulted in an accident.

Great location and great service

Room very comfortable and quiet. Staff were excellent. Free parking at the back of the pub was a godsend. Recommended!

Lovely little pub with rooms

This is an excellent place, even if a little understaffed on this particular visit. Those there still trying hard, and a lovely little pub with rooms.

Good but could have been better

Really nice hotel in the old part of the city. Near the cathedral and castle. Approx 25 mins walk from the train station, but uphill along Steep Hill. Room comfortable with large double bed. Good quality toiletries provided. Breakfast was not buffet style. You had to order the night before. Choice was a bit limited. Cereal choice was bran flakes or cornflakes, no muesli or granola or fresh fruit or yoghurt. However I asked if they could provide muesli fruit and yoghurt and they did and it was good, particularly the fresh fruit salad, delicious. Disappointed with the toast with the cooked breakfast as it was white sliced! No offer of brown or granary etc. Have had better breakfast elsewhere.

Nice pub. Very popular and lively. Friday night was particularly busy and quite noisy till late. This didn’t bother us but could be annoying if you wanted an early night. The room was pleasant, comfortable and large. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. Not a great choice and no fruit or yogurt on the menu. However when I asked for some it was not a problem. Staff were very helpful and friendly. I would go back again if I was in Lincoln

Great place to stay if visiting Lincoln, friendly welcome. Very clean and comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast. Parking not easy to find, first right after hotel the second right.
