Would definitely recommend this hotel for the convenience of getting on an early morning shuttle to France. Staff in reception are welcoming, hotel is clean, plenty of facilities and nice to have a walk down by the sea.

A quick overnight stay. Room was clean but a little noisy from the aircon. Breakfast was ok but nothing special for £30 & coffee!!! Wish I’d walked into town and got one

Hotel is very tired. Bathrooms and bedrooms particularly. Service is friendly but chaotic if you want a drink as a resident. You pay full price no glasses, bottle only, through the reception hatch, didn’t make us feel valued.

The artificial grass near the parking area at the front of the hotel needs replacing because it’s a trip hazard. Some of the staff were very pleasant and helpful but unfortunately it was more common that they were so under pressure that they couldn’t perform their duties properly and this is I believe because they are understaffed (not paying attention to your requests and you having to repeat them because they are too busy to retain information It took a long while for my check in, apparently because I’d booked through Expedia and not direct, and the gentleman checking me in kept disappearing to ask questions causing a queue to form behind me, which I found slightly embarrassing. Unfortunately also because they didn’t ask me to sign for my drink with my evening meal, then when I checked out they just stated that there were no outstanding room charges, it wasn’t until I got home and checked my bank account that I saw I’d been charged for someone else’s drink and they couldn’t refund that to me I was told, unless that other person agreed to pay for their drink. As far as I was concerned though it was equal to their stealing money from my account that they were not entitled to. Obviously I would NEVER stay anywhere again without checking my bill before leaving, although I must say out of the hundreds of hotels I’ve stayed in this has never occurred before and I think they should introduce a system of signing for ‘extras’ so that you know exactly what you’ve signed for.

Nice hotel. Room was spacious and modern with a very comfy bed and nice bathroom. Good breakfast. Dinner was disappointing. Although the food was tastey, the portion sizes are very small and considering the price I would not book dinner there again.
