Arrived 02:40, very late after flight was an hour late and a car fire on m40 at Loudwater Receptionist very thorough, name was “in training” @HolidayInn, why do that? Sleep not the best, ended up reading until 6, then very weird dream until phone woke me 07:30 Breakfast: Lady on desk couldn’t find us in room 6, eventually let us in. Bacon needed a good few minutes longer cooking, when *I* cut rind off, it must be bad! Sausages “ok” fried eggs overdone, scrambled were dry Coffee was really good, and well needed Room refreshments really good, 4x tea, 4x coffee, good supply milk and sugar, and extras if needed at reception, biscuit and a hot chocolate too, very good to see
