The area along the water offers kayaking, sailing, fishing, walking and mountain biking with regular events throughout the year. The visitor centres along the water have a range of facilities from picnic benches and shops, to cafés and an on-site leisure spa. Lots of visitors love to visit the observatory, you don’t need be an expert as it’s fun for all ages.
Winter in Northumberland is as lovely as summer, with the scenery in autumn and the frosts of winter months making the surrounding countryside stunning.
