We had a lovely stay at Gisborough Hall. A last minute booking through Expedia at great value. The staff here are so lovely. Ate in the Brus Grill on the Friday which was very good. Had drinks in the lounge and played some of their board games too. Walkable into town where there are many bars to choose from too.

This is a great spot. The staff is efficient and courteous ,the rooms are clean, spacious and the property is beautiful. Short walk into town if you are bored.

We liked the quietness of the hotel We didn’t like the heat in the bedrooms could do with air conditioning Also noticed in the lounge some guest were given nibbles while they are sat in the lounge and some wasn’t like us.

Beautiful house and lovely well kept gardens. Large bedroom and bathroom. 2 restaurants . Food very nice fine dining in the formal restaurant more casual in the bar restaurant. Convenient for whitby and surrounding areas to visit.

Fabulous atmosphere, great stay

This is an amazing place! All the staff from reception to restaurant & housekeeping greeted you with a friendly smile & a Hello. Everywhere was lovely & clean, our room was so comfy. It helps that it's such a beautiful building & grounds to look at (although be prepared to walk a fair bit as it is pretty big!) There was a lovely relaxed atmosphere about the whole place too. Food & service were excellent. We will definitely be returning if at all possible!

A comfortable place to stay with helpful staff. The only inconvenience is that you have to cross a main road twice to walk into the town.

Nice setting

The only criticism we have got is the rooms were to hot no air conditioning we booked dinner on the Tuesday and was told to sit in the lounge and some one would come and take you to your table we waited until 8.45 and had to tell them we were still waiting for our table it seems they had forgot about us we didn’t get in until 9.00 the tables were in the bar when I went in to get a drink there was 3 empty tables this was at 8.10 apart from that the hotel is in a nice quite setting.

We stayed at Gisborough Hall to celebrate my husband's birthday. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Our Saturday meal at the restaurant was excellent. The staff were all friendly and helpful

Beautiful grounds

It’s a beautiful property. The service in impeccable, especially in the dining room. The room was a little dated. Small things like a plug for the tub were missing.
