Weekend stay

The location is nice, lovely for weddings. Staff were friendly. Unfortunataly our room didnt meet our expectations, many cracks in the walls, some lights broken, bed wasnt too comfortable. The breakfast area is really lovely and it wasnt too bad overall. However, on Saturdays coffee cost extra money and on sunday its buffet style. This wasnt indicated prior to our stay or at the hotel. We tried food at the cafe and it was pretty good.

Very disappointed took a £50 card deposit.for anything that we charged to the room, 1 week later and they still have not refunded it, Called them today and they said it should be next week, this is not a holding payment as it was taken from the account, but they tell you when they take the payment it will be refunded when u leave which isnt true

Pleasant stay

A lovely stay! I was in the Sartoria building around the back as there were functions on. The room was clean, spacious and modern! The spa was closed, which was a shame and weird for a Friday night, and the Sartoria Café needed another member of staff to help; the poor girl on her own was struggling but she was lovely and the food great! My room had French doors and a large open patio, which were close to other rooms and another guest decided to smoke at 6am, meaning my room stunk of smoke. Not sure if there’s a designated smoking area but I think there should be as it’s too close to other guests to smoke outside the rooms. I’m back on Monday and I’m looking forward to it! Hoping the spa is open!

One night stay room was great and breakfast. Only thing I wasn’t overly happy was they took £100 on my credit card which they had on hold for 7 days after my stay.

Upon arrival the receptionist asked me to login to the wifi and check myself in!! That’s just what I needed after a 5 hour journey! Once I had done my part and paid for the room in full and also £50 per night for any charges to the room, she issued the key card. Room was nice, fresh and clean. Only gripe was that there were only two towels in the bathroom, one hand (hair) and one bath. I’d have expected an extra hand one. Staff were quite miserable and just performed their role.
