Will not stay there again

Staff in reception very friendly, the rest is not good. The bed linen was dirty, stains on pillow cases and human hair in the sheets, room was cold on arrival, heating was off, bathroom very run down and needs a big upgrade. Bath towels dirty and have seen better days. Restaurant food was microwave food.

Not a place we would stay again

The rooms were probably last decorated in the 1980's. Carpet is stained. Blinds didnt work. Windows dont open. There is only one towel. Bed was uncomfortable & the white covers were grey from age. Needs an update

Room was clean and welcoming. Bed was a bit creaky and uncomfortable. Pillows were also flat. Wouldn’t stop me staying again though

Friendly staff, comfortable stay

I stopped 20-21 Oct. as well visiting friends in the area before and after my visit to the Isle of Wight. I chose it for its closeness to the train station but a very busy main road with no pedestrian filter between the station and the hotel made it more difficult than expected. Friendly helpful staff and very clean little hotel for one night stopover. Breakfast choice was rather limited with no cornflakes or fruit available. My room was downstairs and was well furnished including a desk and plenty of drawers. A very comfortable night. The towels included a huge bath sheet - a definite bonus. All in all, thank you for looking after me so well!

Great staff. Good clean room and bathroom. Full breakfast available £9 including tea or coffee. Evening meals available to order. Harvester restaurant a few minutes walk towards the town centre and the train station a few minutes more. Good car park.

Beautiful stay

Absolutely lovely place not far from the high street very comfy bed excellent service the front of desk lady was amazing friendly and very helpful we visit fareham three times yearly to visit our Son and family usually go to red lion however had a change to you so sorry you are closing in October

The bedroom wasnt what i expected, i've neber stayed in a room that untidy, for the money that i've paid i was expecting at least a good bed to sleep. The bed is full of bumps and the bed sheets are very old. Towels are so old that threads are coming out. Is like going back 30 years in this room. I came here with my daughter because in the morning she's haveing a gymnastics competition and we were hoping to hev a good restful night before wich for me definitely wasnt
