Studio room was good value for a night but it’s not really a spa without a pool of any kind and the breakfast is terrible valuable @£19 on Expedia or £15 at the hotel. No cappucino, only scrabbled eggs and for that prices buffet is poor.

Large property spread over a number of buildings with various standards of rooms, with some more modern than others. 30 minute walk to Chipping Norton so not advised if elderly or in heels as can be muddy underfoot, so you would need a car to get around. Lots of golfers, as to be expected and very peaceful and quiet.

Gym not SPA

The hotel was for golfing. We went for the SPA facility but unfortunately we took as a pool and hot tub. There was only a gym - this was not made clear as they call it a dry SPA. This wording is misleading and a gym should not be associated with a SPA.

golf course was not in good condition, golf cart was old, and ran out of gas after 9 holes, pace of play was very slow, sold us 18 hole rate with start time of 1:40pm & couldn’t finish before dark. Room was wastefully large while bath room was tiny. Staff cleaning rooms smoked while cleaning. Shower was so small, no room to bend over to wash legs. First floor room had sliding glass doors with no windows. Had to leave slider open for fresh cooling air (unsafe).

Fantastic place

Ample parking. Shower was great, border biscuits included, lovely soap -a very important hotel feature. Pricing was very reasonable. Would stay again.

Got an upgrade very nice room with a view, but the bed was well past (it’s bedtime) pillows lacked any comfort, tea and coffee facilities very poor and product quality poor, besides that I would stay again.

Nice to have good meal options in the accommodation, lovely, attentive wait staff. Rooms are a great size, only downside was no dryer options with the washing machine.
