You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Piglet's is a modern barn conversion away from passing traffic. Set in rolling green countryside with wildlife all around. It is a modern, cosy , spacious, inviting and relaxing barn.
The garden has all weather astro turf, perfect for children and has a 6 ft fence for total privacy. Patio furniture and a BBQ table for you to enjoy. Bring your own disposable BBQ to sit on the top.

We are 20 mins of the A30 within just 10 minutes you can be on the coast walking or surfing.

We are family run and you have 2 neighbours. Please keep noise to a minimum at all times and be very quiet after 10pm. Please respect the barn and others. Any groups of youngsters age 25 and under please enquire prior to booking.

Parking for 3 cars right opposite your property.

Ours fields are also next to the complex, these are for our guests to enjoy, either to run around or play ball games. A lovely view to Roughter (Bodmins most rugged tor) can be seen on a clear day from the top. At night the sky can be loaded with stars. This can be enjoyed with a glass of wine on a rug in the field or in your own private fenced enclosed garden.

We have our own spring water supply that is UV and filtered to British Standards.

3 large double bedrooms, one on the entrance level, this has a double bed , wardrobe and chest of drawers.
Upstairs, a master room with a king size and a double sofa bed, built in wardrobe and dressing table.
3rd room has 2 single beds, built in wardrobe and dressing table.
2 bathrooms, one on the entrance level which has a bath and walk in shower and one upstairs with a walk in shower . Both have quality Myra showers.
One infant per barn only

Downstairs to a very large diner/lounge and separate kitchen.

We have unlimited broadband which usually has a great signal.

Our barns are suitable for families with young children, surfers, walkers and golfers.
No smoking indoors .and No dogs allowed. Support dogs, animals and pets. We are not pet friendly here at Hendra .

Hendra Retreat in lovely North Cornwall. Ideal for families and couples.
Trebarwith Strand our local is 5 minutes drive away and is great for families, dogs, surfing or walking the stunning coast path to Tintagel, Bossiney, Boscastle or Port Issac. The Port Willy pub is an ideal place for food with a fantastic view.

Roughter - Bodmins most rugged tor is a 10 minute drive, once there you can walk to Brown Willy.

Trebarwith strand, Bude, Polzeth and Crackington Haven are all patrolled by lifeguards in the peak season.

Historical village of Tintagel renowned for King Arthurs Castle is ten minutes away.

The Camel cycle trail from Bodmin to Padstow via Wadebridge. A great day out . You can hire bikes easily at Wadebridge and is 15 minutes away.

St Nectars Glen an area of outstanding beauty and waterfalls is 10 minutes away.

Bowood golf course is a 2 minute drive.

Bossiney has a lovely coastal walk to Tintagel , Rocky valley and Boscastle.

Port Isaac is 20 minutes away, this is where Doc Martin TV series is filmed. It offers lovely places to eat whether it is fish and chips or a Cornish cream tea and splendid sightseeing.

Rock is 30 minutes by car. Rock offers water skiing and paddle boarding. Here you can catch the ferry to Padstow or walk to Daymar bay (dog friendly) and is good for wind boarding, from here to Polzeth which is great for surfing.

The Eden Project famous for its domes and also holds live music events 45 minutes away.

History of the barns
Dating back to 1334 the old quarry barn in the woods on our land housed the Quarry master and the ponies and carts for the old slate stone quarry which supplied all the stone for the farm buildings and houses in Camelford.
Owl's roost, Piglet s and the Milking parlour have been newly renovated in June 2017.

An excellent base camp

Family Get Together

Great base for 6 adults for exploring the local area. Property was clean and well equipped. Perfect for a family get together. Only minor complaint..the outdoor area could have a larger table, chairs and umbrella. Also it could be a little more landscaped.

Fantastic Property

First impressions of the property was that it was just ideal for both of our young families to stay in, the hosts couldn’t do any more for us, the property was immaculate and very well laid out, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Will definitely book again for our next Staycation

Perfect stay and great base to explore from

We had a great stay and felt well looked after by our lovely hosts. We had four adults, two 2-year olds and a 3-year old, and everything worked out great. The house was perfect for us and the location was great for beach and sightseeing. Can't recommend enough.

Camelford comfort

We had a great stay, the accommodation was really nice, clean and excellent condition with character. Everything was there that we needed and it was lovely that there was a cream tea left for us. The area was so quiet and peaceful and dog friendly. Less than 10 min drive to Camelford High Street. We would definitely stay there again.

Challenge Life Fitness 20 mile Coastal Challenge

A group of 8 of us stayed in this fantastic accommodation, it was clean, modern, a fantastic quiet location and to top it off a bag of scones and clotted cream left for us on arrival. We used it as a base for our 20 mile challenge, running from Tintagel to Polzeath. Spectacular coastline and stunning views, we've had an awesome weekend thank you.

Wonderful countryside stay

I booked Piglets barn at the Hendra retreat for 2 night with a group of 6 of us. We absolutely loved the barn, it was cosy yet modern, spotlessly clean all over and all the facilities you need for a weekend or weeks break. The welcome scones were a lovely touch and the welcome from the homeowners after we settled in was lovely. The location was ideal for travelling to places such as Bude and down to Padstow or port Issac. We loved the barn so much we extended our stay for any extra night and the owners were super helpful with this and moved us in the other 2 barns they have there, both of which are again super clean and tidy and very cosy both with their own gardens. Would highly recommend and will be back for sure

Absolutely lovely!

A perfect place to stay. Piglets was ideal for 6 of us and our dog! Beautiful inside, beds were so comfortable and the showers were heaven!! Fully equipped kitchen with everything you need! A fabulous stay and Tom and Bridget made us feel so welcome! Perfect location for visiting Boscastle, Padstow and Port Isaac! Daymer Bay was the perfect beach! Had a fab time thank you Tom and Bridget we will be back and would recommend to anyone!!

A fabulous Barn for a Family Get Together!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hendra Farm. We stayed at Piglet barn which accommodated 6 adults 3 children and a 1yr old. The barn was very spacious with a great size living area (with a TV and a lovely sized dinning table) for us all to spend time in. The kitchen was fully equipped with a kettle, dishwasher, microwave, cooker, oven, toaster and two Fridge- Freezers. It has ample amounts of cups, glasses, plates, bowls, cutlery and pots and pans to cook with. There's 2 great sized bathrooms (1 included a bath tub). The shower is amazing!! It really has great water pressure!! All 3 bedrooms are a great size with good amount of storage space and all three rooms have a TV. The beds are super comfortable. You have a washing machine inside the barn that you can use. You can dry these in the garden or they do have a tumble dryer that you can use (you need 20p coins to get it to work though) There is a lovely little garden space that our children used and liked. They do have a field nearby that they say you can use to play football in. They had enough parking spaces outside of the barn. It really is home away from home! Checking in and out was very simple. Tom and Bridget are such a lovely couple. They are so warm, friendly and approachable. We needed some help and they sorted it out very quickly and spent some time with us explaining the history of the farm. They let us view the smaller barn and even that had a spacious living area. One of the many things I liked about this barn is that Tom had invested the time to restore and renovated the old farm barns himself. They have a folder inside the barn that have pictures that show their journey in making the barns. They have a visitors book in the barn and we read every comment and all the feed back was great feed back. I would highly recommend this barn to anyone who wants to get away and spend some quality time with friends or family. In terms of location- Hendra farm is at the top end of Cornwall and is about 1hour 45mins from Lands end. You're about 30-40mins from Newquay There are two fantastic beaches near by that were recommended to us that we too would highly recommend. Polzeath Beach or Trebarwith Beach! Trebarwith is a bit smaller but has so much character. Tom and Bridget- Once again thank you so much for being very welcoming and friendly. We had an amazing time and we were super comfortable. We genuinely hope we have the privilege of coming back again to stay at Hendra Farm. x

Clean, Comfortable and Roomy

We enjoyed our week long stay in the Piglet's unit at Hendra Farm. There was ample room for 5-6 adults and two small children. The kitchen was very well equipped for cooking family meals with plenty of space around the dining table for extra cousins who stopped by once or twice. Tom and Bridget are friendly and accommodating hosts. They even provided a box of toys for our grandsons. We would definitey stay in this rental again.

A great way to bring in the New Year

We stayed as a group of 8 ( 4 adults 4 children) and would highly recommend this property to families. A really well equipped property in a good location, a short drive from Port Isaac and Padstow. The living area is spacious and caters well for 8. Large mounted TV kept the kids happy together with very good WIFi. Owners were available to us at all times and we were warmly greeted. Suited us down to the ground.

A fabulous location for a large family gathering

We rented all three cottages over Christmas for a large family get together. Having all three cottages worked brilliantly for the thirteen of us (ranging in age from 70-3!). The largest of the three barns, Piglets, was big enough to accommodate us all eating together and had more than enough crockery, cutlery, glasses etc. The open plan living space was ample for us to congregate and watch TV or play games during the wetter afternoons. All the cottages were lovely and clean and well decorated, and the bathrooms were particularly lovely. There are plenty of great places to visit around the area such as Boscastle, the Eden Project, Rock, Padstow and loads of fabulous local beaches, especially Polzeath. Everyone had a fabulous time and I’m sure we’ll all be back at some point.

Love love love this place!

We were a large group and rented out both Owls roost and the bigger barn piglets. Both were perfect! So so clean, lovely towels and linen, very well equipped and perfect! 20 min drive from where doc Martin was filmed, lovely area and the perfect countryside! Dog friendly and he loved it also! Bridget and tom were very helpful and friendly and I would definitely return. Amazing place. Thank you!

Lovely, modern, spacious, open-plan. Perfect for large families.

First impressions of this property were amazing. The bedrooms were well decorated with a minimalistic taste, especially with the extra pillows, I can't complain. The walk-in showers in both bathrooms were excellent, and this excellence was also carried on throughout the rest of the house. The sofas with the reclining seats were great, especially with the massive tv to watch while sat on them. The dining area bit was fantastic, the same can't be said for the game of cards my competitive family and I played however...😂 The garden was an awesome sun trap, and a life saver when the dogs wanted to play. The kitchen was lovely and spacious, and had everything we needed. Overall, absolutely gorgeous property, well decorated, would love to go back.
