En route to Gatwick

We were overnighting from a storm-swept west country on way to lunchtime flight next day, so locating conveniently just off M3. Very impressed with accommodation block, clean and comfy room, and friendly restaurant and bar at front, where had enjoyable evening meal and comprehensive breakfast. It was a Black Friday deal, but a very welcome experience regardless. Happy to recommend.

Little gem in the area, good value for money.

We stay in FArnborough area often and never used the Ely hotel before but tried it out. What a pleasant stay. Great price, good food/breakfast and nice room, with all amenities you would expect from a far pricier hotel. Will definitely stay at again.

Great for a short stay. Lacjed cleaner dirtier . Aldo stag over night. There was a blackout/power cut but no members of staff to advise or ensure safety of guests

The Ely

Glyn was the star of the show, we had a 9 night stay booked due to an unexpected and impending death in the family. Needed a location close to family. Glyn was at the front desk and was always very helpful and a friendly face. Our room was serviced by Amanda i believe and she was always nice and was helpful. The included breakfast was always nice and there were lots of variety. It was nice to have the pub for lunch and dinner as needed. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the hot chocolate and cookies were always a nice treat in the evening.

Great pub with rooms / stayed here previously. Good rooms and bar area with large restaurant. Can’t really walk anywhere but that wasn’t a problem.

Second time of staying and the hotel is perfect. Lovely rooms nicely appointed and clean. Food also excellent but the service was just appalling. Took 3 hours to have a 2 course meal with 2 rounds of drinks with the restaurant near empty. Very slow and disorganised. Staff said they would come back to take order but never did. Such a shame.
