Reasonable airport hotel

A reasonable hotel with a comfortable enough room. The air conditioning unit was very noisy though, so I turned it off. The elevator was not working, but not a problem for me. The breakfast buffet was okay.

When I arrived at the hotel I was informed the lift was broken. The receptionist said my room was on the second floor and would I like one on a lower level. I said I would if possible as I’ve head spinal surgery so cannot lift heavy bags. He changed my room from the triple family room I booked to a double. Adequate as I was travelling alone. He carried my case to the first floor for me then left. I walked to my room and opened the door using the key card. As I opened the door there was a towel on the floor. I thought that’s weird maybe the room hasn’t been cleaned. Then a man jumped out of the bed (naked) and started shouting at me to get out of his room. I was absolutely mortified for both myself and him. I went back to reception and said that room is occupied! He said that’s strange it says it’s empty on the system. He then gave me a new room and came with me to check that wasn’t occupied. I went into my new room and bolted the door and put the chain on. I didn’t sleep well after the shock of the event and then the thought that anyone could be given a key card for my room. This was really alarming from a safety and security point of view. I would not stay here again.

Good for emergency stay but not for Holiday start

The lift seems long time out of order and no intension to repair. 2nd floor room with big luggage was really painstaking. Shower was very dull and not warm enough.

The room was lovely but it was v noisy which disturbed sleep the front of the hotel was a bit scruffy, abd could do with a garening tidy up.. pizzand breakfast were great

Good location for a stopover before an early stansted flight. Poor service due to the lift being out of order so have to carry your luggage up all the stairs. Room has signs saying if you forgot any ameneties like toothpaste etc ask at reception....they dont have any.

Excellent value for money

Only stayed one night before our flight. Smooth check-in. Polite staff. Spacious, quiet rooms with aircon and mini fridge. USB sockets. Good shower. Very comfy bed. Great linen and towels. Very Clean. Only few minutes drive from the airport. Affordable prices. Would use again.

The worst hotel we have ever stayed in. Disgusting dirty rooms with stains every where. Smell of smoke and damp. Air con unit unsafe and outdated, makes so much noise. Shower cubical full of grime and mould. Every wall stained ! Pillows dirty. Furniture chipped and damaged. Spoons dirty to make tea. A nasty old pull out bed with stains and dirt all over it was supposed to be used for my daughter to sleep, she had to get in with us as it was so disgusting. Hardly slept a wink. Took 30 mins to get in to a room as keys were not working and neither were the lifts! A complete hell hole. Complained to the so called ‘manager’ who said would get back to me with an email of an ‘investigation’ even though I had pictures of the room and showed her them. Still heard nothing. Abysmal! Do not stay here it’s a complete dump..

Brief stay after an early morning arrival from Dalaman to London Stanstead. This was clean, comfortable and fit for purpose. I reserved a room to accommodate myself and two children (16) & (12). We arrived to one double and one single bed made up. They facilitated us well with a spare pillow, shower gels, hairdryer, tea and coffee facilities (although no milk). There were two sockets for charging devices. We had a check out time of 11am and free parking for our car which you type into the computer at check in.
