Convenient location for our purposes.
Staff welcoming and efficient.
Rooms were comfortable and very clean. A comfy & quiet night's sleep!
Wide range of menu choice for breakfast & dinner. The drinks & meals were very good value and food tasty.
Use of pool table & darts board was a bonus.
Thought I had booked a room in a pub. More like a working mans social club. Bar was full of children. Room was cold and damp. Bed and pillows very uncomfortable. No heating in bathroom. Ground floor, clear window, over looked by beer garden and play area. Very noisy at night. Wouldn't stay again!

Not what we were expecting
Bed linen and towels and room clean, room felt and smelt damp , bathroom damp with broken toilet seat and cubicle edge smashed. Poor maintenance in general throughout hotel with ripped carpet and chipped paint everywhere

Liked: Staff & service
You get what you pay for, small room, but good enough for one night. Off street parking. Dinner was fantastic giant cheese omelette just what I felt like.
Room was clean enough. Not amazing but satisfactory. Check in is at the bar and it's definitely a locals pub, the type where people stare as you enter. Car park is nowhere near big enough and struggled getting a spot because competing with pub customers. Ground floor room with window into busy beer garden. Had to keep blinds down for privacy because no net curtain or window privacy film. Broken toilet seat in ensuite. Non smoking room smelt like smoke, which is possibly from the beer garden but can't be sure. Very noisy bar, woken multiple times in the night from loud drunk people in the bar and beer garden. It is cheap though so good for getting your head down one night but nothing more.
The Alcester Inn was a good price, in a good position for anyone travelling in thus area. Alcester is a very pretty village with far more shops than I expected.
The only thing negative was our ground floor window opened onto the beer garden and only had one blockout blind not a privacy curtain, so it felt wxposed when pepple were in the garden. Itherwise it was great.
