Overnight stay

Out of Date and Dirty!

Fairways was probably a great place to stay over a couple of nights back in the 80's. Its probably needed a major refurbishment since then. There is no noise isolation and you will have the joyful pleasure of hearing next rooms private conversations. I had to endure a man (what sounded like Liam Gallagher) talk to his wife on Skype all the way up to 11:30 at night. I had major problem with cleanliness however the staff are friendly and helpful. I assume many positive reviews may be on their spa facilities.

Nice Homely Hotel

All the staff were very helpful and friendly throughout our stay, they offered us any help they could. The food was fabulous, we came back every evening for evening meals as they were just lovely! Could have done with a few more pillows on the bed and the jacuzzi area could do with a little bit of a tidying up and been updated but overall I thought it was great.

Decent hotel close to Manchester city centre

Pros: Close to Manchester centre.
Cons: Rooms could do with sprucing up a bit.
Location: 3 miles away from city centre and close to heaton park.
Stayed many times, never had any issues. Food available, close to city centre.

Great price and friendly staff

Booked day before checking in and welcomed by friendly staff. Amazing prices for the room, not 5 star luxury but very good for price and practical. Bar/ restaurant is very warm and cosy, nice helpful staff and food is Amazing! Really enjoyed my stay and would recommend to all, will stay again on my next trip to Manchester.

Run down rooms

Pros: Most of the Staff were pleasant.
Cons: Needs a good deep clean and a lick of paint.
Location: Handy for Manchester City Centre
Pleasant approach to Hotel. There was a wedding in progress. Reception seemed nice but on closer inspection a little grubby and in need of tlc. Bar area and restaurant ok. Corridors to rooms were grubby and in need of a good clean, carpets really dirty. Room on first appearance seems ok. TV did not work and reported to reception, who went up to room and stated it was repaired, this was not the case and we were then told that the dish on the roof had a problem and no signal, they stated they were calling an engineer, this did not happen, so they lied about the TV being ok the first time. Sealant around bath grubby, shower did not work at first but hubby managed to fix it. Window sills in room absolutely pitted with grime. Carpet in room badly stained, we asked for extra milk and we were promised this, and never received this, when making a cup of tea the long life milk was off, so lord knows how long it had been there. Breakfast was ok but a little cold, took 2 members of staff to try to get the toaster to work, breakfast was a little cold but not too bad. Glad we were only there for 1 night. Wont be staying again.

Nice,clean,quite and authentic style.

Pros: Style, clean, free breakfast
Cons: Mattress needs to be renewed. (Comfortable but it is better to change)
We have arrived hotel at midnight.There was plenty free parking place. I took the key from the reception, and find the room easily. Room was clean and tidy. Shower and hot water also was working very well. They have offered us free coffees in the room. Room was quite during night. Thanks
