We thought that the Bournbrook provided good value for money - friendly staff, clean bedroom and bathroom, with everything needed for a one night stay. We had a few issues with breakfast though - cold plates for the hot food, luke warm water for tea and there was vacuuming going on all the time we were eating.

Hotel rooms clean, staff friendly & welcoming Only issue was no residents bar for us after 11pm so we had to go to the pub down the road

Generally good venue

Good hotel and lovely breakfast. Very close to the wedding venue. Shame there is no lift. Bed matress maybe needs replacing as it is not very comfortable with very noisy springs evertime you turned over.

All I wanted for breakfast was couple slices of toast and cups of tea. Was told I had to pay, eight pounds fifty the price for all in breakfast even though I was just having tea nd toast..

Filthy hotel

The staff were fine and friendly, this was possibly the only redeeming factor. The hotel was dirty, there was rubbish in the halls and the room was filthy. The bedding was clean but it was clear that the carpet had not been vacuumed, nor had the surfaces been wiped. The bed was sagging in the middle.The shower was mouldy and was without it's kickboard. The toilet seat was broken, likely due to the placement of the toilet roll holder directly behind the toilet. I would not recommend this hotel and I will never be staying there again.

Needs a good scrub and breakfast improvements

The room was an ok size, the beds are extememly uncomfortable with old sunken mattresses. The vathroom was clean but the carpet needes hoovering and the walls in the bedroom were dirty. The breakfast was terrible.

overall ok stay

hotel was fine - bed was very big and extremely comfy, no plug sockets in close proximity of the bed which is annoying - however can be worked around. the room I stayed in was extremely noisy due to the close train tracks.

Was a good base. Beds were ok but noisy when you moved. Great sized TV for the room. Attention to cleanliness needed, although wasn't ridiculous. Need new pillows.
