New year break

Check in was quick and easy. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very spacious, clean, beds comfortable. Great views overlooking the city. A short walk into the city centre and railway stations. We have stayed here many time and always recommend to friends and family.

Mostly good. Nice location Heatings unit not working. Provided portable heater. Hot water for 2 days was not available. Breakfast room did not have enough chairs. People waited for available seating. Only a problem on 1 of the 3 days

We checked in on the 21st Dec for one night. Initially our room had no heating and the phone did not work. We asked to change and we’re told that a key for another room would be bought to us in our room. After 20 minutes waiting we went to the desk and collected it having had no notification (just say “collect it from the desk”?). The quilts are pretty small and are not the best of TOG ratings. The rooms however, are clean and the room served its purpose for one night.

Great city centre hotel!!

I had a good experience from start to finish. The staff greeted me with genuine warmth and professionalism, making me feel right at home. The general manager and his team offered a exceptional service. However my room was cold and the mattress was uncomfortable. The hotel’s facilities were average. The gym had a few machines out of order and no water cooler. I did appreciate the convenient location, which allowed me to explore the city easily. Overall, my stay was good. I would recommend this hotel and would stay again. I will definitely be returning!

Convenient location and the room was spacious. Breakfast was good. I didn't use the parking but the hotel is very convenient to drive to from the A38. I had a room with an adjoining door which was annoying.
