Due to roadworks the hotel was a little difficult to get to, though this was not something the hotel could do anything about. The hotel sign is set back from the road and partially obscured by bushes. It can only be spotted at the last minute. However, once in the hotel the staff were welcoming and helpful. The rooms and public areas are clea and tidy and there is a handy bar and restaurant available.

Wouldn’t go back!

Small bed, only one chair. Difficult to get to, not advised obvious route closed by roadworks. Restaurant closed apart from breakfast so had difficulty getting anything to eat( as could not take dog into nearby restaurants and couldn’t leave her in room if we were out of the hotel). Tbh overall pretty grim ☹️☹️☹️

Excelent service. Friendly staff. Lovely breakfast included. Needs refurbished. Stained carpets, cracked mirror, uncomfortable bed.

Needs updating

Hotel needs updating it’s very dated and scruffy on places. Breakfast choice was limited and ran out of cooked products when a large party came. Beds are small and not comfy at all plus the quilts are strange. Normally love holiday inn but not this one.

For the first time in a long time, I have no complaint about an Inn. Thanks to the reception staff especially. I would like to know the wholewheat bread that I ate at breakfast cos I found my new favourite bread.

2 day stay Birmingham Star City

Staff were great, main reception/bar was nice and modern. Breakfast was good. Room was clean if a bit basic and tired looking , but main thing stopped from giving a 4;star was rooms weren't that well sound insulated and was quite noisy from other guests, plus we booked 2 rooms and my in-laws TV was not working for the whole trip. Hotel was full so couldn't move them to another room and they could not repair :-(

The manager was very accommodating. The first night we spent there our bed was very uncomfortable. However, as soon as we spoke to the manager she quickly made arrangements for another room with a more comfortable bed. Very happy with the service

Wrong room allocated and faulty bathroom equipment

Booked as standard room but got a disabled one which isn't a major issue but when one doesn't need these adjustments, especially in the bathroom, it is not comfortable. Bath was not clean around the edges, shower leaked spraying water everywhere.

The hotel staff were excellent. They were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was very clean and spacious. The breakfast was very filling.

Booked a twin room when we arrived they wouldn’t have even told me if it wasn’t for the fact I mentioned it , we would have only discovered she we got up to room , they only reason we chose this hotel was for the twin !

Rooms great, staff great but skip the restaurant

This is the second time I have used a Holiday Inn and the second time I was pleasantly suprised at the quality of the room. Anna on reception was especially helpful sorting out some invoicing issues. The only shortfall is the restaurant. The staff work very hard, but the reception staff have to take menu orders and serve drinks. My chicken burger was very unappetisting. The pizza looked the best option, but there's not much choice and portions were small. The vending machine was my saviour for crisps and chocolate!There is plenty of parking space and it's a good location.
