This is an affordable option in an expensive country. It’s an older property, not fancy, slightly tattered in spots, but I would stay again. The location is excellent, steps from Kelvingrove park and within walking distance to great restaurants in the west end. My main complaint is that the pillows are so thin that sleeping can be uncomfortable; I wish the owners would invest in higher quality pillows

Great stay and location!

Lovely hotel central to kelvingrove park west end and other way to city centre. Easily walkable or buses/tube available. Hotel is modern, looks to have been decorated recently, warm and quiet. Didn't try breakfast but smelt nice. Little noise outside at kicking out time expected but probably because we were at the front facing the road. Stayed for a family christening and parking was available when arrived and when returned on the street free weekends starts 8am Mon charging

I have stayed at this hotel several times and have never found any faults. It's ideal for a stay of 3 to 4 nights. One aspect I appreciate is that they clean the rooms every day, which is not the case in some hotels in Glasgow. Additionally, they provide tea and coffee in the room, something that many hotels in the area lack. The hotel is also conveniently located close to the city centre and has good transport links.

This was the perfect little home away from home. It was simple and exactly what we needed. The breakfast was an authentic Scottish breakfast and it was delicious l. The staff was helpful and courteous and helped call us taxis when we needed them. Everything was perfect!

Weekend stay.

Room was clean and comfortable. My only criticism is a poor cooked breakfast. The bacon looked as if it had been reheated from the day before.

I was originally booked into a tiny room on the top floor - no elevator. As soon as i arrived up there, the phone rang at the receptionist asked if I would like to move to the second floor.. YES please. Very kind of her. The bfst was good and the staff very pleasant. The hotel is old and needs a bit of attention but it was perfectly fine. My issue: I left my iPad behind and they would not help me to retrieve it. I cannot be the only person to have forgotten something they needed back. I was very surprised by their unwillingness to do anything to assist me. I am from Canada and am on a tour so it was not easy for me to figure out but I did, no thanks to the Sandyford front desk!

Very convenient for attending shows at either the SEC Armadillo or the OVO Hydro (10 - 15 minutes walk). Comfortable, good breakfast and handy for bus connection to central Glasgow. Would recommend.
