Stayed for 3 nights in the ibis , room was clean had what we needed , not 5 star hotel but clean and a good continental breakfast included in our stay, tram to Edinburgh was across the road also took you to the airport, staff very helpful and someone always there. They also letting us leave our baggage there on last day which was very helpful

You get what you pay for

Budget accommodation for a reasonable price, downside is no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Kind of like a hostel for older people/families

Great Hotel

Overall, its not bad especially for the price, quite comfortable bed with a shower, bathroom and toilet like a studio apartment except smaller size. I got a room thats for double occupancy + a climb up bed on top for the little one. Otherwise, really accessible to go to your room (elevator), dining area in the lobby with free coffee and tea and metal utensils/ceramic plates and microwave (if you choose to buy your own food at the supermarket and eat here). They also have a 24/7 pizza kitchen they make in the oven (£11.75 for 10” inch pizza). They also have disposable shaving kits for sale I think if you forget it. The location is really right next to the Tram station (2-5 min walk) that goes to the city centre and to the airport. Theres also a night bus stop to the airport if your flight is early in the morning. Cons of the room itself: -Toilet door looks like someone put plywood and made it as a outhouse type? anyways it was functional with privacy, why no sliding door?? also too close to the main door -Shower door.. why no sliding door!??? this huge door to open is outdated. Get sliding doors to save space -No specific space near the door to put dirty shoes, all the same tile flooring -No closet but small functional hangars -Table too small -No Refrigerator but thats most functional hotels (sometimes not needed but required for some people with chilled, prescribed medication for storage during travel). Otherwise, good rooms and service, would book again

Tiny room. Toilet is in a cupboard in the room and there is a big gap between the top of the door and the ceiling. Shower cubicle is in the bedroom. No kettle in rooms. It is very very budget and wasn't particularly cheap

I can't think of anything I actively liked. it was OK as somewhere modern and clean to lay down, wash, eat a simple breakfast. I guess it was economic but this was not of my concern. What didn't I like: The room was small and cold. There was no ironing board & iron. The breakfast was very basic. I travel alot. I need comfort.

When we arrived there was a truck unloading mattresses replacing mattresses that should have been replaced years ago by the look of them. There was an obvious bed bug problem, I thought they were doing what they could to correct it. The room they gave us, unfortunately still had the old very dirty, stained mattress and they claimed that was the only room available, however there was very few people at the hotel. In general it needed a good clean.

All good for me

All good for me, room was comfortable and a good location for getting the tram in/out of Edinburgh. Not sure if the thermostat was stuck at 22degrees in the room as it didn't seem to let me change it, but didn't adversely affect my stay.

My only complaint is about lighting- or lack of working lights. We had a triple room… a double with a single bunk above. None of the lights worked apart from the overhead. This meant there was no option for a small light for any of us for a nighttime trip to the loo, we risked life and limb to visit the toilet!

John from Suffolk - check in, welcome, room comfort, late bar and hot food excellent. Did though miss tea making in room and it's nowhere near Edinburgh Park. I arrived at rail station to find 25 min walk. Should be renamed Gyle & tram stop quoted as better approach.
