It is centrally located downtown above the train station. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Really well appointed. The bathroom was modern and updated with the exception of a claw foot tub with a very small circular ring for the shower curtain. Nobody wanted to use it.

Iconic Hotel in the Heart of Glasgow

Voco Grand Central is an iconic, historic hotel at the train station, and very walkable to all the hot spots of the city. The breakfast buffet was also very nice in a fancy dining room. The champagne bar had a great view down to the bustling train station, but we never heard a sound in our room. Loved it.

The property is beautiful and located so as to give access to public transportation and lots of things to do in the area. The downside is it is attached to the train station so it is very noisy, especially early in the morning.

This property is gorgeous! The front desk staff were fantastic and very friendly and helpful. The location is great with tons of shopping, restaurants and bars easily walkable. The room was outstanding! The bathroom was gorgeous and the amenities were top notch. This was our last hotel On our trip and it was absolutely perfect! Definitely recommend!!!

Glasgow Charm

Beautiful hotel. Very convenient. If it rains, you can go to the train station or get coffee without getting wet. The room could have used a small fridge. We're used to that in the US.

I recently stayed at the Grand Central Station Hotel in Glasgow, and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The hotel is not only beautiful but also offers incredible value for its cost. The entire place is well-maintained, and the housekeeping staff does an excellent job of keeping everything spotless. The environment is easy to navigate, and its location next to all the major train stations makes traveling around the city convenient. Shopping in the area is fantastic, and the highlight for me was the Champagne Restaurant, especially their high tea service—it’s a must-try! The staff, particularly the waiters, were very friendly, and the food was both delicious and reasonably priced. Having lived and worked in cities like LA, Seattle, and New York, I felt surprisingly safe in Glasgow, especially around the hotel area. It’s a great city with a welcoming atmosphere. Overall, I’d give the hotel four stars. It’s an excellent choice for anyone looking for a comfortable stay with great amenities at a reasonable price.
