Had a lovely trip to Edinburgh. I tolerated our stay at the Cityroomz. The amenities are less than bare essentials. The main issue for us was the noise. Our room faced the street. The bus and trains pass and stop directly in front of the hotel. Accessibility is a major plus, however, the noise is horrendous . Never once was this mentioned in their advertisement. They did offer ear plugs. If you’re dependent on having access to WiFi it’s offered but we no luck connecting. Please not, their lift is not in service and appears to be a permanent issue. It would not be handicap accessible. We were able to leave our luggage at the check in desk as we arrived 4 hours prior to check in. When we checked in, our luggage was already in the room. We were able to store our luggage in a shared closet on our floor at check out while we went about the town before our flight home.
If you’re looking for a location near or in the City Center, this was great. Give to ten minute walk to Dean Village, another 15 minute walk to the Royal mile. The staff were exceptional, very polite and professional.
