Staff members at reception, bar and Resturant are welcoming and keen to help with any request. Property is clean, food was good and at walking distance from train station and major landmarks.

Check in was at 15:00. We arrived at 16:18 to find room not ready and alternate not available either. A drink voucher was given and asked to wait in bar. After over an hour nobody had approached to advise room ready and we had a meal booked at 6:30. Approached reception again and finally given our room. Room number 904 directly above the main train tracks. Even with secondary glazing you can still hear the trains rumbling past multiple times per hour. In addition there was an electrical buzzing sound coming from air con/heating vents (at least so we thought so switched it all off but this continued so may have been smoke alarm. The same buzzing was evident in corridor outside room also. Really disappointed as stayed here earlier in year with a fantastic room and no issues re noise. A great buffet breakfast provided and would recommend, however, found this became cold very quickly. Hotel is so central and welcoming so if we choose to come back I would check which room I was allocated.

Excellent hotel with ideal location.

Hotel is clean and modern and feels very luxurious. It's right next to Glasgow central and many of the nightclubs and best restaurants are within walking distance. The breakfast is also a very high quality with goats cheese and good quality sausages as well as an omelette bar. The bar looked good although we never visited it.

Nice but ………..

Staff excellent at check in and in the bar and restaurant. Room very nice stayed in an executive room but no heating in the bathroom and it was very cold! Restaurant has an excellent looking menu but the quality of the food leaves a lot to be desired! Ordered fish pie, stated on the menu, salmon, smoked haddock and prawns in a whole grain mustard sauce with spring onion mash topping. Not a single piece of salmon, smoked haddock or prawns in sight! Was very poor quality white fish with skin on and bones in a white sauce!! Did send it back and was told the chef would make another to my standard! Thought that was a joke! My standard is what you advertise on your menu!! I reordered a wagyu beef burger was definately not a wagyu beef burger, what they describe and what you get are two very different things! Breakfast ok but again items missing that they advertise will be available!! Would I stay again, if I can have a warm bathroom and eat out of the hotel!! But the staff were so very obliging and friendly! Oh and they did give me a complimentary drink whilst I waited for my second meal!!

Good friendly staff at reception and bar. Hotel looks good and feels comfortable. Only reason I did not give full marks was that bathroom wall had signs of black mold on grout, but overall it was a great experience and I will definitely visit again if the opportunity allows.

Group stay

Check in was easy, we arrived early but our room wasnt ready but the were able to keep our luggage for us. On return we were checked in quickly and also gifted some drinks vouchers to use during our stay. Everyone was lovely and helpful. And the reception smells amazing!
