Great value

Specious room with shower and bathtub were separated. Bit noisy late night since the hotel is on Grassmarket. Great view of Edinburgh Castle, but you can see same view from each floor hallway too. We took public transportation from airport to the hotel with multiple suitcases in August. Big mistake. Streets were full of tourists and cars. Map app’s navigation lead us to take 3 steep and narrow stairs ( which we did not take). Cobblestone streets are beautiful to see not for suitcases.

Perfect view of Edinburgh castle from my room. Comfortable, clean, high end rooms (towel warmer was a nice luxury touch!). Didn’t realize how central, close and walkable the hotel is to all the sites until I checked in. Looks over grass market, right next to Victoria street, and 5 min walk to Edinburgh castle. Only small complaint is the noise level at night in the grass market can be a little high but that’s not the fault of the hotel, just location. Will stay here again next time I’m in town!

Stayed for two weeks during Fringe. It's in the right location. Room had some minor wear and tear that did not bother me in the slightest. Staff was very helpful. Would recommend.

Has steps to check in. Walk up the parking entrance to the left of the lobby entrance. Driving ramp takes you to lobby level door. Easy for your bags!

Nice hotel . The restaurant though at the neighboring apex tried to play games with their " 2 course menu" for 22 pounds and tried to overcharge by 5, said thats the way the computer calculated it. After telling them to split the bill seperately between me and my wife they agreed to the correct price.

Hotel was clean, tidy and comfortable and any time we asked for anything we received it straight away. The best thing about the hotel has to be the location. Lots of great bars, cafes and restaurants literally on your doorstep and all the major city attractions in walking distance. If I visit Edinburgh again I will definitely stay here again

A good choice near the key tourist sites.

The Apex City of Edinburgh Hotel is ideally located near the Royal Mile and on Grasmarket with plenty of dining options nearby. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The provided amenities (shampoo, body gel, lotion, etc.) were high quality and not perfumed.
