4/10 Poor

If all you want is a place to stow your bags and sleep, this meets the need.
If you want charm, character, or a hot shower, look elsewhere. The apartment was generally clean, but bare bones. The bathroom light fixture was just a light bulb hanging from the ceiling, bed wasn't very sturdy, we couldn't figure out how to work the shower, and the walls seem to be paper thin. We heard every conversation held by people walking to their apartments. Check-in was delayed because my email account didn't recognize the email from Apex and treated it like spam. I had to call and give them my CC info over the phone before they would give me the info needed to access the building and apartment. The keys to the building and apartment are kept in a lock box padlocked to a rail on a busy street corner and no one will meet you upon check-in. Unfortunately for me it was raining when I did this. The apartment building was depressing as is the general location of the apartment, which I acknowledge the Apex property management company can't do anything about. But the building hallways had holes in the walls, vomit stained carpets, and missing ceiling panels with exposed wiring and several dark areas due to missing light fixtures. We kept telling ourselves "it's only for one night." We would not have stayed a second night.
