The room was small but clean. At the Airport perimeter but noise of Aircraft not a problem. The reception was welcoming but there was an issue over the bill which seems to be an ongoing issue. We had to pay twice and are awaiting a refund. Close proximity to the NEC was useful. Bit overpriced for what it was. Breakfast choice limited we would have preferred Continental as an option. We were served poached eggs but unfortunately they had black pepper in them which spoilt them for us. Difficulty in using shower as it was difficult to control temperature.
3 night stay for our visit to crufts at the NEC. Owners very friendly & obliging. Room was small, but ideal for our short stay. Room was clean. Lovely breakfast. Bus, 1 minute walk from hotel and only two stops and short walk into NEC.
I had a lovely stay here for an event at Vox at Resorts World. The hotel manager, Nigel, was friendly and accommodating, the room was clean and warm and the bed very comfortable. My evening there was rounded off nicely by a few gins chatting to Nigel in the lovely hotel bar, putting the world to rights! (Could have been there much longer!) Just what I needed after a full day's event then dinner out in the evening. Highly recommended.
Being a solo traveller its nice to find a small, well run, friendly hotel. I felt safe. Rooms were cosy. Safe parking for classic car too. Perfect for NEC.
This is an older hotel and requires a taxi or bus to get to but staff and owners particularly nice and helpful. It was also an economical choice and close to the NEC.
Really great place. The staff were all very helpful and stayed up late so they could let us in on our first night.
They had a bunch of great recommendations for the area too.
This hotel was very clean room was a bit small but very comfortable. It is near the Airport but noise was an issue . We had a really early start the next morning so they left breakfast facilities for us
To be honest, I was at an event at the NEC and all the normal hotels i stay in where fully booked or charging treble than they normally do. So I was a little hesitant in what to expect with the Tri star.
I walked in and seemed to be welcomed with open arms - I spoke to the friendly member of staff who asked me what I would prefer ie a bath and shower, or just a shower - my answer was not to fussed aslong as it is quiet. She then said i have just the right room for you. -i've never slept for 8hours flat in a hotel before- let alone a hotel off a duel carriageway and behind an airport.
The bed was comfy and room was spot on for the price i paid.
Breakfast in the morning was very welcoming - reminded me of going my grans as a kid. the 2 ladies couldnt do enough for you.
5/5 - would recommend highly from now on
I stayed for one night with my children (11 & 14) on our way home after a long day at Alton Towers. Room was cosy and perfectly adequate for our needs, spotlessly clean with very comfy beds. Owner made us really welcome and cooked us a meal on arrival - nothing too much trouble! My son particularly enjoyed our game of pool in the games room.
