Location is what this hotel has in its favour. But that’s it. It’s outdated, very noisy and the room was far too hot. Opening the window wasn’t an option as the outside was too noisy and the small fan in the room did next to nothing to help. The entire hotel needs a renovation which it says it’s doing — but it’s been saying that for years.

Don't bother , very disappointing
Booked room for 50th birthday trip to London, the room was very disappointing nothing like it was advertised to be on hotels.com, corridor had an odour of a dirty dishcloth left in stagnant water ! Room was very small as was the bathroom. Stains on pillowcase, no aircon. No iron or hairdyer ! Lifts were in dyer need of upgrading certainly not sufficient for the amount of guests in the hotel. Granted it looked like this hotel was under some renovation works which should have been declared on booking but wasn't. Overall not the best place we've stayed ! Classic double bed was tiny and lumpy :(

I’m sad to say this but the only thing this hotel has going for it is the location. We booked a superior room and you still couldn’t swing a cat in it. The so called air conditioning was a unit attached to the wall which when on at night kept you awake it was so loud. The bathroom was tiny, there wasn’t even enough room for a full shower it was cut in half (triangular). With only a shower curtain. I would hate to be a larger person because I honestly don’t think they would be able to turn around inside the shower. Ours was a twin room and you had to walk sideways down the side of the beds it was so narrow. I understand it is only 3* but for being a ‘superior’ room it was not welcoming in the slightest.

The real plus of this hotel is the location. Central to many of the prime draws of London. It’s wonderful how much you can see just by walking around.

We have stayed at this hotel several times but this visit was very disappointing. We were allocated room 455 and the noise from the generators was so bad there was no sleep. It was very hot so the window had to he open but it made very little difference. Our check in was also disappointing, clearly depending on nationality determined if your room was ready. We sat and watched several examples of this in reception. Very disappointing

No aircon, room was very very hot, felt like a sauna, when I asked to upgrade (was willing to pay) they had none available, all rooms should have aircon. Rooms were also tiny, couldn’t even lay my luggage out on the floor had to put it on the bed

Very close to all amenities and underground. We went to the Dominion Theatre and the walk back being 2 minutes was perfect for us. Would definitely return. Room was spacious, powerful shower and air conditioning

2-Day Tourist Trip to London
Everything great except there are only 4 lifts. I was out of order the whole time and a second one wasn't working for a short while. We heard bad stories from others but we were generally quite lucky.

Small but quiet room in central London
Small but fairly modern room, booked an 'Urban' double and it was perfect for my requirements. It had AC which was on upon arrival so the room was nice and cool. Kettle with tea & coffee provided. Thumb-lock on door so room could be secured when inside. Shower gel and soap also provided. Best of all, I was woken once by noise from hotel OR London traffic - incredible! Thel location is so central next to Tottenham Court Road, so easy to access everywhere. Would 100% stay again. Recommend Room 1226

Rooms not well sound proofed at all, could hear everything going on in hallways which made it very hard to sleep. Not enough elevators so there were long waits for the lift. When they arrived they were very small so you were crowded in with people. Room itself was nice and was air conditioned which was very useful
