Great room but breakfast was an absolute disaster!

We booked specifically as knew we would be arriving on a late flight and looked forward to the free breakfast the following morning. The room was comfortable and clean and we slept well however going down to breakfast at 9.30 we were met with what I can only describe as a cattle market. Virtually no food was left and the entire room was in disarray with people searching for plates, cutlery and the last remaining few slices of toast! While the hotel can do little to stop people piling plates full of food to excess if a free breakfast is on offer then it needs to be somewhat better thought through, maybe not having a 10am cut off on a Sunday would help spread out the rush somewhat. Overall a really stressful experience and we wished we had booked the Ibis right at the airport, saved the taxi cost and paid for breakfast there!!

Wonderful hotel for a short overnight stay! Fantastic check in service, rooms were small for family of four but we were just sleeping there so for value for money it was outstanding. Breakfast included was incredible. Only flaw is they parking was additional to the cost of hotel at £12 per night

Uncomfortable beds and too warm!

The hotel reception looks lovely so i had high hopes! We were staying as a family of three in quite possibly the smallest room they had. It was so small that we couldn't even get the chair out from under the desk with the sofa bed set up. The double bed was rock solid and i barely slept the two nights we were there. The heat in the room was unbearable and the aircon done notbing other than make a loud racket and the sound of constant running water. The breakfast was a plus and the majority of the staff were helpful. I do feel that some were just totally uninterested in their job. We were left a dirty towel from a previous guest which just added to the stay!

No electricity in room but free stay.

I arrived at the hotel at 00:45am, to be told that I had no electricity in my room due to issues with an electrician. While not their fault and I was offered a free stay, it was less than ideal having no electricity for lights or chargers in the room. The staff were helpful and supportive throughout this. Breakfast, basic with no fresh fruit on offer.

The hotel was good enough but it would have made it even better if I had a decent breakfast as did most people. I have celiac and need a gluten free diet, and as such would expect at the very least a slice of gluten free bread I don’t eat the hot breakfast for health issues so rely on gluten-free bread so for all my stay there was none there was also no yogurt on Sunday either, there was no gluten free pizza and I was told as the breakfast was free I had no redress. Sorry but this hotel was not cheep I would expect for the price breakfast should be included. The choices on the food menu were very limited and expensive it’s not difficult to make the whole menus gluten free lots of restaurants do it and are full all the time we have many locally so I suppose I am spoiled in that respect but all I would ask is for was a sile of gluten free bread there was also other people looking in the empty gluten free bread bin and walked away with none.

water from the air conditioner was leaking and dripping making the carpet wet, we then changed rooms and the water from the air conditioner was leaking and dripping as well. overall service was good, hotel was fine, breakfast was good

Decent stay

Didn't really feel welcomed by the front office staff, they looked a bit preoccupied and busy with other things, not really the usual friendly welcome with a smile I am used to at holiday in. No body lotion in the room, that's a first for me, always have had that at other hotels, I will remember to oack that in my luggage next time if I stay at another Holiday Inn. Aircon was rather noisy , so turned it off. Didn't like paying for the parking on top of paying for the hotel, why not just charge an inclusive price upfront? The email advising parking had to be paid for only came through after I had booked, seems a bit of a con to make a little extra, I like to know upfront the total cost of my hotel stay. Apart from the above little annoyances, rest of stay was uneventful, location was ideal and close to where I was visiting and environment was pleasant and quiet. Extra points for having a working electric car charger in the car park, worked seamlessly to charge my car.
