Douglas Fir Resort and Chalets

The loft rooms are amazing
"We booked a loft room and it was excellent. We loved the space in the living area and the open fire. They even had an area where you could chop and collect more firewood for free. We saw lots of deer from our balcony which was really special. The kitchen was well equipped with a huge fridge freezer and everything you could need. The best were comfortable and it was quiet, warm and cosy.
The pool was shut but there was still slides and the outdoor hot tub open. The hot tub didn't seemed to be manned and there was a snowball fight between a group of kids in the hot tub and some kids on the balcony nearby so it wasn't quite as relaxed as I'd imagined but it was a lovely area for the peaceful 5 minutes I spent in there before all the kids arrived.
The area is beautiful and with free bus passes into Banff we didn't even have to use the car.
We got there a couple of hours early to check in and our room was ready, so we were allowed our room earlier which was really lovely and meant we could unload the car and get out and enjoy ourselves sooner so we were very thankful for that.
I would definitely want to stay here again if I was ever in Banff and would highly recommend it to anyone. The upgrade to the loft room was truly amazing and the views were beautiful. "
