We come to Banff yearly and decided to try a new hotel. We enjoyed the room and the bed was very comfy. We had paid for an upgrade and there was no table to eat at so that was disappointing. We also weren’t impressed by the $20/night parking… other hotels we have stayed in have included this. As we were treating our stay as a retreat and planned to stay in our room most of the time. we found the room service menu to be limited and the breakfast quite over priced… it was a nice clean hotel just not for us. We won’t be returning.

This property was perfect for a weekend, 2-night stay in Banff! The property is located right in the heart of Banff and all shopping and dining downtown Banff is less than a 10 minute walk down the road. The hotel had all amenties needed for a trip. Great and friendly staff as well!

Warm, cozy rooms. Staff are friendly. However, underground parking is additional fees and bathrooms are quite outdated. Otherwise, great stay.

The room is clean and good to live. Only the bar close too early. Last call is 8:45 pm. And the food is a bit expensive with less quantity. If only for stay, it is a good place.

A nice stay in Banff
Clean, comfortable and spacious room—we had a junior suite. Nice amenities and loved the gas fireplace. The pool and hot tub area were nice, though not very large. In general the decor is showing its age, but is well maintained.

It was a terrible experience. We got transferred to a different hotel because they didn’t have room.Transferring us to a different hotel was not as simple as promised. I felt completely taken advantage of throughout the entire process. The Banff Inn had the reservation printed out and got me to fill in the details and sign it, confirming that it was the three-bed suite. The price was $179.00. I had already paid $241 when I had booked. When I asked about the discrepancy, the front desk clerk was extremely rude. When I brought up that I had an issue with paying a higher rate for a cheaper hotel he replied “well if you don’t want to stay at our cheap hotel, you can leave”. This was a very snarky comment to a reasonable concern. He said I would have to bring it up with Royal Canadian. I asked for a copy of the original bill he had me sign so that I could provide it to Royal Canadian, he refused. When I had originally booked at Royal Canadian, it was in large part so my kids could go swimming. When I brought that up I was told it was no problem and that we could go over to Royal Canadian to swim. Not ideal but we were willing to cooperate. What wasn’t mentioned was that this is a ridiculous proposition. We had to walk over in our clothes, boots, coats and purse. There was no change room or lockers at the pool. Just a tiny shower area and boot shelf. The room at Banff Inn was not great. Uncomfortable beds, no blackout curtains, view directly looking into the room across the hvac

The hotel was clean but a little small. The mineral pool was very good. The water was warm for kids. The hotel is located off the main downtown area which is nice and quiet. However, it is a 10 minutes walk to downtown. It would have been better if the hotel offer access to Roam transit.
