Unfussy stay with all the basics. A bit dated, but they have a lovely salt water pool and hot tub. I wouldn't say this is a 4 star by international standards, but for Banff it's an above average stay. A few areas of concern, but nothing major: Amenities tray had dust on it, which means the rooms aren't being deep cleaned between stays. There were no clean towels available in the pool and only an emergency phone line (no way to contact front desk to let them know). Restaurant attached is not good, save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. Not sure why parking is $20/night, but plan for that and you'll be fine. Front desk staff were friendly and courteous, even when the hotel was busy.

Spacious room, safe for laptop, friendly staff, hot water and great shower water pressure, clean pool and hot tub, bathroom layout is spacious, separate sink from toilet, well lit garage but20.00 a day. Overall, although farther from downtime..hotel was very nice. Would stay again.

Man at front desk spoke in a whisper, did not smile nor welcome us. Just that initial impression gave us a bad start to our weekend. Mattress need to be flipped over. Due to sheets being old and real "slippery" and mattress being well worn so that when I went to get into bed I slid off the mattress.

Overall the hotel was fine and comfortable, but found the staff to be extremely unhelpful. The concierge wreaked of alcohol one morning and gave us very odd answers to questions. The front desk we called multiples times with no answer. Asked someone else at the front desk 2 questions they didn’t know the answer to (one about room service and the other about directions due to a marathon in town). Breakfast was not good at all - only option is a buffet before 9 which doesn’t make sense when you’re trying to get started early on activities!
