Kids enjoy the waterpark and bus passes are very convenient. Beds were good. Property is very old and in desperate need of a full renovation. Door handles were falling off in the kitchen, only 2 burners worked on the stove, the shower went from hot to cold with no water pressure. Decor is dated.

Property is great, clean, staff are wonderful. However, I really need to mention this just to give a heads up to the maintenance dept, make sure that after you clean the room please, please don't leave the door wide open, for the occupant to find it when they arrived to feel unsafe and botheted. Please make sure that everything is locked, secured and safe.

Our overall stay was good, but the property desperately needs to be renovated, rooms are very dated and need more lighting in them. Reachable outlets for charging devices near the bed would have been great. The waterpark and hot tubs were a lot of fun during our stay so that was a bonus. If adding a restaurant during renovations is possible, that would be amazing, a little disappointed that there was nowhere to eat on property.

The rooms decor was very out dated. Indoor pool was not in service. If you wanted to use the gym a liability form had to be filled out. We arrived during a very strong wind in the area. The property has a number of very large dead trees. I counted 16 in and around the property.This would be very dangerous situation if a strong wind would knock them over. The damage created by this could destroy a vehicle, property or kill a person on vacation. This should be corrected before a situation does happen.

Nice studio unit with good parking and bus access
Happy with our stay. units are old, but well equipped with comfortable bed. Fireplace, but we did not use in September. Appreciated that we could park our car by lobby during day before/after checkout. Underground garage parking for our unit during stay. Waterslide was a blast, but it was closed after our first day. There was a sign at the desk with bus schedule, make sure you ask for free pass. Very convenient stop out front so you don't have to drive to key sites/dinner in town.

Once we checked in, found our parking space and took the elevator to our room, all was good. The room was more than we expected! Very clean and well set up. We had a very quiet night and slept well. We would not hesitate to recommend Douglas Fir Resort and Chalets if you truly want an incredible place to stay while visiting Banff. Complimentary tour tickets also available upon request.

It was clean. The room had a double bed which was fine. The pull out couch was okay for one short night. Amenities were good including bathroom products and coffee. Check in was easy. The hotel kept our bags while we visited Banff. Free shuttle with stay.

Great convenient room with kitchenette and fire place. We had elk roaming around the property. Only issue was the smoke detector keep going off during my showers, must have had the water too hot!
