Overall was very happy with our stay. On the last morning we were disappointed with how a hostess at breakfast was towards my wife and I, however perhaps she was having a bad day. Left a bit of a sour taste though. Was a clean hotel.

My husband and I came here for our ten year wedding anniversary and the staff were absolutely amazing, the amenities on site were all amazing breakfast buffet or a la carte with a restaurant at the main level. Pool hot tubs and sauna all well maintained. Loved the shuttle to the gondola out front along with the 2 minute walk to Banff ave and now river right behind! It’s absolutely stunning you won’t be disappointed I am already looking forward to coming back next year

Seriously disappointed. The room was dark, outdated, no outlets. The balcony was decent but no where to sit. I didn’t think I had to ask for an updated room but when I checked out they said I could have requested one. Horrible!

We stay in one of the renovated 2 queen bed rooms - room was clean, balcony view was great, we had issues with the mini fridge, it was not functioning well so we had to have it changed out for another one. The pool / jacuzzi / work out room needs attention - the workout room needs to be separated from the pool area - there is NO ENCLOSED ROOM for working out, we had a guy working out twice while we were in the jacuzzi and he was grunting and groaning extremely loudly while he was working out, this was EXTREMELY ANNOYING, we came to the jacuzzi to relax and recoup after a long day of hiking, not to hear someone grunting and groaning

A nice hotel. Nice po and hot tubs. Breakfast buffet was awesome. Staff-excellent!! Our rooms may have been in an older part of the building, but our 3 rooms were rather warm and the thermostats did not work. The front desk gave fans to us which worked well to cool the rooms off. Also, lighting was very dim. Brighter lights would have been better. That being said, we did enjoy the hotel and its amenities and I would recommend this hotel for travelers wishing to stay in the town of Banff.

Good Experience but Parking problems in Banff
We were pleased with the lodge experience. It was indeed clean and orderly and the staff was friendly and helpful re scheduling tour trips and town info. Only suggestion is that because Banff has very limited parking and the lodge does have its own underground parking garage It was an unnecessary surprise to have them add on for overnight parking. Because a traveler really has no choice because there is really no other place to park other than the train station which is about a mile away.

A so-so experience
Hotel is in process of remodeling rooms. We did not get a remodeled one, in fact, we got the worst room in the hotel. View was of a wall of the hotel. This hotel had busloads of people in and out every day. A favorite for large tour groups. Our stay was just so-so. Front desk very helpful though.

Great stay. Close to everything in Banff - restaurants, shuttles and shopping. Handy having underground parking - could park and walk to everything during our 3-day stay. Bar and restaurants in the hotel provided good service. Hotel was clean - a real pleasure to stay. Really can’t beat the location.

Located near downtown Banff made it easy to walk to restaurants or shops. Also, close to tour pickups, airport drop offs and bus station. They are in the process of remodeling but we had no issues with noise.
