Overall, for the cost compared to most of the properties in Banff, Rundlestone was a great value. The staff was extremely professional and courteous even though we were there 2 hours before check-in time. They had some initial trouble getting the computer to check me in, but were helpful and friendly the whole time. Once completed, they were thorough in providing information about the area, the stay (pool was closed for repairs and they had alternatives we could work from), wifi, etc.
The hotel has a good location, is nicely decorated, and has garage parking available below.
If I have anything negative to say, it's that the rooms are in need of modernizing and redecorating. The wallpaper and carpet are pretty dated, and while there were several outlets in the room, only one was located convenient to one night stand. Adding a USB/Power Outlet block to both nightstands would be a great start. My wife and I both need CPAP machines right now, plus of course it's nice to have your phone by the nightstand if you plan on using an alarm. The front desk did their absolute best to help, trying to find a power strip or extension cord that would help out, but the only ones they could find weren't long enough, so I ended up going into town to find a hardware store to get a longer cord (donated to the hotel when I checked out to hopefully help future guests).
Despite the dated nature of the rooms, we're definitely planning on staying there again.
