If you want a tropical vacation go no further than the Sea Spray Lodge in Vero Beach, Florida. The ocean front is within walking distance. The rooms are spacious and clean. The surroundings make you feel as if you are on your own tropical island. Finally Meg is a wonderful person and Manager. The.rooms are a little.dated, but this is a five star experience all the way around.

Very nice property indeed. Great location, good service, and low key feeling with relaxed environment. Nice pool and great beach. I did have a serious problem with Internet once, and as a remote worker this was a problem for me. I was told Internet is not reliable on the island. I went to the very nice library which booked a private room for me for my video conferences while visiting. So it worked out. I would go to the Sea Spray again. it was a good experience staying there.

Arrived and had to go find front desk person. Room smelled. Tv remote didn’t work. Office didn’t open until after 10am on checkout day. Was rated a 9 out of 10. Very disappointing.

Not what you would expect

My husband and I felt we where falsely lead by the advertisement and pictures of the Seaspray. The place is nothing like the photos. The photos made it seem the place was modernized and on the beach. Seaspray is down the street and across a street to get to the beach. The bathroom was so small that when you sat on the toilet, your knees would hit the wall in front of you. When I stood up, I hit my head on the towel rack. There is no ventilation in the bathroom, so I tried to open the window but it was nailed shut. There a very few outlets for charging your electronics. The shower floor was stained and dirty looking. I wore my flip flops in the shower. We had to stay because it was non-refundable. Would not recommend this hotel.

It is a good location with adequate beach access. The grounds and pool area was nice. Management was responsive dealing with issues. It was difficult to prepare meals in kitchen as there was little counter space and few utensils.

Total 60s style seaside hotel w/ the best head gal Meg in charge. She is AMAZING, should be given a huge raise, or deed to the property. The place would falter w/o her. Quiet, clean, a block from a gorgeous beach.

Meg works like a dog. I'd steal her away. As manager she afforded every guest special treatment. Old style Florida motel. It was immaculately clean. Kudos to the maid. Pool was clean. Beach was glorious. Nearby dining was unexpectedly fab. If i can go back i will. I liked room 2. Stayed in two different rooms. Accomodating doesnt cover it.

Liked that it was close to beach. Condition of property was fair and old. Bathroom was tiny. Air conditioner was only in bedroom and could not turn the fan as low as desired for sleeping.

Our day was very nice at the recommendation of some friends who live in Vero Beach. We had trouble communicating with the front desk as we typically got voicemail and needed to add another friend name to our second room. The property was clean and nice. The rooms were decorated very cute. I did call the front desk and got voicemail at 9:45 PM. Light was shining in through the windows and was very distracting for sleep. I left a voicemail asking if they had any eye masks for sale downstairs. We did not sleep well because the room was too light.

Had a very pleasant stay here for one night. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The grounds were kept and the front office is amazing. Love love love the decor. Megan greeted us with enthusiasm and helped us find a place for brunch. The beach is a short walk and was not crowded at all. Definitely will be back here on our next visit to Vero Beach.

Nice, but two-bed room wasn't at par with others

We stayed in a room with two beds that did not appear to be renovated in recent years, while many of the one bed rooms (prominent in the photos) were much nicer. We liked the place in general. I liked the rooftop deck in particular. It was convenient to the beach, about a two block walk.
