The property is close to a lot of things on South Beach. It still has its character from the art deco era in which it was built. The room was clean and nice and there's a nice rooftop pool but we were unable to use it due to rain. Unfortunately the lobby space that is part of the hotel is no longer used and feels a little bit abandoned. Would be nice if they activated the space and turned it into a coffee shop or cafe or something.

Cute boutique hotel
Hotel is so cute! Rooms are nice and spacious. The pool area is amazing! The attached restaurant is delicious! My only complaint is how uncomfortable the beds were.

I felt very uncomfortable at this hotel. I feel as if I was catfished. Property inside and out was dirty and unkept. My tv wasn't working. There was a funny smell in my room I'm happy I only spent 2 nights there. Cheaper than other properties in the area for a reason!

First off, before I start anything, there was a young man that worked here, luis, that was extremely nice and helpful. He helped me unload my car, as well as helped me take it up to the room as things were difficult trying to unload while having to young kids with me. We rented this room for my two young children and I as we were evacuating from hurricane milton. The south beach hotel itself does not have a lobby, per say. For check in and check out, you have to go next door to the boulan. The only part of the hotel that looks like the pictures is the outside. The room we got had two beds. The beds themselves were not great, at all. Both beds make horrible creaking noises with every little movement, which is not good when you have a baby thats trying to sleep. The bed closest to the door also was extremely bowed. There is no microwave, so do not plan on heating anything up. The website states that there is parking on the premises, however this is not completely true. There is a garage on the next street over in which you can park. The gentlemen running the garage were nice, however, there is no elevator in the garage, and no refunds if you end up leaving early. Same goes for the hotel, if you make a reservation for more than a night at a time, you still get charged. We also got charged for amenities we never used. We were also never told about their "private beach" or the shuttle that can take you there.

HORRIBLE!!! Do not look at the picture they are not accurate at all! Must check in at sister hotel next door. When you walk in it looks like a horror movie. They have locks on the thermostat to make sure it doesnt go below 73 degrees. We booked 2 rooms and they both were bad. Room 1: drained was full of hair and slime. Requested housekeeping to come clean again they did 2-3hrs later after the 2nd cleaning there was still hair on the walls and drain in the bathroom. The matress was bowed and broken. Room 2: There was blood stains on the lamp shade, the toilet seat was barely hanging on and the windows were cracked so you could hear the wind blowing in. After asking to be refunded they said we had to switch rooms and then we were told that they had no rooms available. After checking in at 11am we finally got the approval of a refund at 7pm.

I was given a room on the first floor with a broken window lock. The staff member then tried to argue with me to keep the room. They also charge you extra money up front to cover items. I was charged for items I never used. I have tried for 3 days to email them for a proper bill, but can not get a response. Have to fight it with the credit card company now. Don’t stay here.

We booked a deluxe room. When we arrived we were able to check in early which was nice, however, I asked for a corner room because we wanted a quiet stay. Instead we were put in a room right next to the elevator and the headboard of our bed was directly by the room door which meant we heard everyone coming and going all night. The mattresses were also worn out and need to be replaced. We’ve stayed here in the past and have been satisfied, this was a disappointing experience.

Rundown and not clean. Initial check in person was nice but later went down and new staff was rude when asked if there was a microwave to heat baby formula. Told no and laughed as if asking was ridiculous.
