Was a huge resort. Confusing at the start. Kinda stuck there, with no parking only valet. Dining was we thought expensive and prices were kinda the same in all the restaurants, with no cheaper options…like for lunch and breakfast. Staff was wonderful though. The room we reserved was not available so they said they upgraded us to a suite. But the room was far from everything l would have preferred the room l booked. Would have preferred the bath robes that were suppose to be there instead of the suite with cooking stuff, view was suppose to be of the bay and with our upgraded room it was of the street. But it is a famous hotel from the fifties…and we wanted to try it out. Would we go back, no don’t think so but would l recommend it, yes worth the stay.

From the start things were off to a rough start. Valet yelling at drivers and a fight almost breaking out in the check in line. 1) Spa is outdated and all pools need to be cleaned thoroughly. 2) Turn down service would come faithfully at 8/9 am while on vacation. (WHY) 3) Being asked a room key to enter pool/beach is ridiculous especially since the bar and service staff hold onto the room key when you open a tab. What are the wrist bands for? 4) elevators in Tresor tower were down to only one working at one point taking 15-20 minutes to catch an elevator.

The room was dirty. See the photos. It was disappointing to treat myself and pay for the better stay then to have old floss in The shower, dirty water glasses, an old earring on the bathroom counter…next to short hairs. It’s obvious the staff wiped around the items and it’s not cleaned. Truly cleaned. I hope the hair on the sheets was because it’s hard to get them off, not a lack of change. Broken pen on the nightstand. Serials is what set a service apart. I’m disappointed.

Wonderful Beach Access! Great ocean views, comfortable beds. Spa was lovely, amount of pools available was spectacular. Grounds were absolutely beautiful! Close enough to all the tourist spots, Lyft/Uber convenient. The staff attention could be improved: My only complaint or feedback would be to have assistance for even those that check in to hotel after hours. Our flight was delayed and we arrived around midnight. The hotel is far too big to have people wandering around trying to find the different towers after traveling all day. We were also not offered any assistance with our luggage to our room. Only area of improvement. I was traveling w my elderly mother and this definitely put a damper on our stay.
