We stayed here during some torrential tropical storm weather but we had one of the incredible rooms at La Mer, which allowed us to sit outside of our room and enjoy the storm. Highly recommend La Mer! Absolutely adorable beautiful room. We noticed that they started bringing the beach loungers in and tying them up WELL before the storm so that was quite an inconvenience for some folks. We were lucky enough to get our chairs before they started doing that so at least they didn’t make us leave our chairs. Absolutely fantastic location. The restaurant and beach were literally steps from our front door. And walking to all of the restaurants & shops was a breeze. Excellent customer service all around. However, I would suggest watching your charges very closely for the next several days after you check out. We noticed that they charged us over $100 several days after we checked out. When I called management they indicated that there was some sort of beach bag that was a allegedly in the room for purchase and they claimed that we must’ve taken it. There was NO such beach bag whatsoever, so just be careful and make note of what items are in there and what they try to charge you for after you leave. We called and the manager did remove the charge, as he should. Just be careful because they might try to do that to you as well. Just watch your invoice! Overall, it was a very convenient, relaxing, beautiful experience. We will definitely be back.

Great place. Don't rent a car or park it at the hotel. Way, way too expensive!!!! parking at the hotel and surrounding areas are far more than the rental cost.

The resort is beautiful and loved having the private beach. Located in a great spot and could walk to everything we wanted to see. Only complaint was the mattress on the bed was the worse I’ve ever slept on. Expected more for this type of rate.

We always enjoy staying at the southernmost beach resort. The staff are always so friendly and willing to go above and beyond. Rooms are clean and housekeeping daily is a get bonus.

The location of this accommodation is great, straight out the door and onto Duval street. Walking distance to loads of bars, restaurants and shops. All members of staff we interacted with were helpful. However we didn’t really receive much information on the amenities / services available onsite other than pools and breakfast. We stayed in Dewey House, with partial ocean view. The room was gorgeous but the noise from the bar and kitchen might not be ideal for everyone.

Wonderful first experience at SoMo! Only change I would make is to ask for a room away from housekeeping closet. View, dining, and drinks were amazing. Find Sharla tending bar, she makes amazing drinks with personality plus.
