First off, I don’t feel like I’m one of those people who are super picky about places I stay. I’ve stayed in a $12 a night hotel in Thailand and had no problem with it.
At first glance, it looks super cute and comfortable. However, after checking into this property and with closer inspection we were VERY underwhelmed. First thing we noticed driving in, the neighborhood seemed a bit sketchy and run down. Constant police and of course fire engine sirens as it was literally kitty corner from a fire department. Very difficult to sleep because of that, not to mention the poor quality pillows and beds. The kitchen looked nice, but the inside of the fridge was dirty, the lower drawer in the oven was dirty with crumbs, and overall we were very disappointed with its lack of basic spices and cookware. I don’t expect a fully stocked kitchen, but there is usually a few extra spices other than just salt and pepper. Plan to bring or purchase your own TP, soap, and paper towels. They provide you with a starter roll of TP, but that was it. We got one small travel size bar soap for the three sinks in the house. We stayed there 2 nights and none of us showered because of how dirty looking the shower and tub were. White soap scum residue on the master shower, and a tub with a big nasty hair ball sitting in it that was old and patched up. I don't have enough room to go over everything, but ultimately, if you can pay to stay somewhere else, do it! It will be worth the extra money.
