Very tired resort. The food is awful. We ended up going off the property for most of our dinners. The staff at the front desk are lovely but many of our interactions with workers in the restaurants were unpleasant. Would not go back. Would not recommend.

Pros: clean facility, great landscaping and greenery, very big with lots of pool options. Cons: 1) the service from waitstaff was not good across the resort - had to chase ppl down to get water refilled while dining, often sat at the lounges without any service, very slow service around the pool etc. 2) terrible, just terrible experience with the online dinner reservation system. Even after repeated attempts with concierge, it was not resolved - staff just passed along the responsibility to others. It was particularly hard to link 2 rooms to get reservations at the same time. Spoke to others staying there and many ppl ending up paying the concierge $50 to get access to timely reservations - not my style. 3) food/dining was meh, with the Miso restaurant being by far the worst. Buffets were good for salads and fruits but the mains were repeated each day for breakfast and lunch. 4) furniture in the rooms are a bit dated. Overall, a decent 4 star hotel, but not worth the 5 star rating.

The hotel needs some maintenance. During our stay the ceiling leaked when it rained outside. Definitely not what you’d expect. Staff is friendly and helpful, however a lot of the staff members will request tips. Which is fine, and I always tip, but also creates odd pressure around it. The food is mid at best. Hotel shop is super overpriced, so don’t forget to pack anything, or be ready to spend $22 on a can of bug spray, that’s like $5 at any store in U.S. but that’s to be expected of a touristy area. The beach was great - there were enough lounges and towels at all time. There are bars and snacks pretty much everywhere. We saw a lot of wildlife while just walking around - pigs, deer, spider monkeys, capybaras, all kinds of birds. The rooms were clean, beds were comfy.

I loved having so many restaurant options! However, I noticed that booking for large groups could sometimes be a bit challenging. Traveling with a big group made it tricky to get us all seated together. The pools were nice and clean, though a bit of maintenance would make them even better, as a few tiles were coming loose. Plus, there was some green algae in certain spots of the pool. On a bright note, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful!

Definitely this hotel does not meet criteria for 4.5 star resort . Needs upgrading , beach small and very crowded giving the fact the size of this resort. Average food , not impressed with sit down restaurants . I would not recommend to getting yourself involved with any time share presentation Not worth it of your previous time They bring you to VIP area Which appears to be empty and pitifully looking No selling point
